Well, if I understood it correctly then it sort of fits XD
But I would say something shorter: "What's made by me, is mine to destroy."

Anyhow, thanks for the links, was fun :)

Being informative, fun and (hopefully) witty was indeed the idea.

The way I myself understand it is: "One should not be attached to anything, in order to be truly free."
    Thanks for showing your appreciation

Maybe I will give your software another round of testing someday, even though I still have not forgotten your last post about me.

For compatibility testing, you might be interested in hypervisors/VMs such as VMware Workstation Player.

I have put your original unmodified zip inside a 7z archive, to preserve the date of my download in 2019."

Thanks! Will add it as soon as possible.

"And I bet Microsoft created more patches afterwards, except those ones are not public, and therefore not downloadable anymore as standalone offline installer versions."

Yeah, that's true, they have done this many times after all.

".NET Frameworks have been patched as well, all at least until 2019 (and probably beyond imho)"

4.6.2 is not supported on XP, or some libraries from it, but yeah.

It is always a pleasure to help.
    :)

The case of the .NET Framework and NT 5.x OSes is a fun and fascinating one imho:

Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 *is* Windows XP 32-bit, and MS has provided .NET Framework patches for it (at least) until February 2019. Now, these standalone installable offline .NET patches can also be installed on Windows XP as well, without the need to resort to any registry tricks! And best of all, the .NET patches specifically for 2.0 SP2 can also be installed on W2000, whose official end of support was in... 2010.

"4.6.2 is not supported on XP, or some libraries from it, but yeah."

    - The final version of the .NET Framework compatible with XP/POSReady 2009 is v4.0.3. Fun fact: the version of .NET 4.0 the average consumer got from Windows Update was not even the full 4.0 (one had to download .NET Extended separately, *plus* afterwards the 4.0.3 update)
    - The final version of .NET compatible with W2000 is 2.0 SP2
    - The final version of .NET compatible with W98 is 2.0. Unfortunately, the upgrade patches for this OS are different from the ones for NT 5.x OSes (2000/XP/POSReady 2009) mentioned above.

(Post) Even though coding without a compiler is painful to me, I like the way you handle this conversation :)
