    Save as MDL. If my code can't do it, use another program, export MDX directly (without opening it to edit) with my tool or some other CASC capable exporter, then convert that to MDL, then remove the funny newlines on "Stand Ready

    And then if you make it simply say "Stand Ready", instead, then it should open just fine as an MDL in my code or any other program

    Hi Retera! Just wanted to say thank you for creating such an awesome tool (Retera's Model Studio). I started dabbling with it a few weeks ago and it has been a lot of fun. It's amazing how well it's integrated with the games files, allowing you to browse units / models right there in the tool. I've worked on custom maps on and off since WC3 was released, but never touched modeling until now primarily since the toolset involved seemed too daunting to learn. If you ever feel inclined to produce more youtube walk-throughs / tutorials, I'll definitely eat them up.

    Thanks man! For me when I use my tool I always feel pangs of pain from how much more I want it to be. Last week I coded particle emitter previewing, copied from Ghostwolf's code, and I worked on trying to make a better system to choose the game install for people who have the game in other languages. Hopefully that won't make it more complicated for people who had it set in a way that "just worked". I'll be sure to try to do it right.
    How do you build the sharing bounty system like this in tiggers…?
    Example:
    Player Names: Speed, Warcraft, Fast, Slow

    [ Ally Hero killing Enemy Hero - Looted 100 golds ]
    •1. "Speed killed Warcraft"

    It's getting very close. Jaina's spell animation, Paladin stand channel, Priest Spell Attack, and a huge number of others look good. The Wagon campaign unit model looks good, but not perfect. The XYQuad particles beneath its base are too bright. For units like the Naga Royal Guard, the water ripple beneath him is facing the wrong direction and loading bad alpha channels. The UV wrapping of the 8x8 clouds on Banshee and derivative models has an incorrect UV mapping that is causing the texture to show strange, stretched lines. Module and Modulate2x Blend modes appeared to be loading incorrect blending information and turning solid black.

    But general progress has been decent.

    Actually, it isnt doing anything with the import manager, it's just loading files. Also, I did not tell it to load campaign editor data yet. But that can be fixed pretty easily

    Wait, this isn't about the .mpq loading stuff. It's about importing stuff to maps from folders and would be faster and would save space to add everything in the campaign editor import manager instead of in each map separately.
    I need help with your model editor. Why is the spell effect is not shown in play animation? I just downloaded it and tried it out. I like it. But, I need the spell effect to be shown too...

    Hi Mr Speed,

    I hear you. I have not responded about this anywhere because I do not have a solution yet. I spoke go Ghostwolf last night and got some tips and copied his particle code to try to make a solution. I was up until 3 am trying to code a copy of Ghostwolf's particle renderer into the Retera Model Studio. Initial tests show some results, but it's not good enough to publish it yet.

    But for other models this is very bad. It shows incorrect colors and crazy squares and bad rotations and all of these are bugs that I have to sift through and fix first before it will show accurate results in the render.
    Model studio works on old Warcraft 3 patches, such as 1.27b?

    It's supposed to, but I just tried it on some old patch and actually it was crashing. That might only be my dev version.

    I'm pretty sure it worked for me in the past. Frequently I point the "View -> Change Game Directory" setting to a 1.26 client to compare how it functions with the 1.31 client. Does it work for you?

    I recently found that the decisions of some tools such as Mefhisto warcraft III tool, world editor multi-enhancer, iZ3D driver and W3M map utilities were somewhat rough. These tools seem important or interesting.
    As a tool contains large amount of hard work, I suggest to re-review them and give the option for an update at least.

    Hi man; I'm still pretty new at being a tool reviewer -- but I discussed this request of yours with eejin briefly a while ago. I don't feel confident changing any previous stuff unless we have a solid description of the reason why circumstances have changed. If you still feel passionate about this, could you maybe send me more about each specific tool you're interested in using the conversation system and include @eejin in it?
    Hm.. was there any way to rig a few vertices to a bone in matrix eater? i kinda need a way to do some rigging on a mdl file, without really transforming it to mdx

    oh its not matrix eater anymore? hm.. wonder why the more 'generalized' name.. kinda saw that with many other programs that used to have flashier name and then just a hint of it in the new name.. like Crap Cleaner is now just CCleaner xD

    anyway.. i'd jump straight in, but i'm lill concerned with the issue that running it renders matrix eater configuration settings corrupted or borked.. is it fixable? or really something i should not concern myself with? :b

    I'm pretty sure they actually both work, but it's just not something I tested extensively so I put in an over exaggerated warning. If you're worried, back up the user.profile config file mentioned in that warning.

    Yeah a blizzard employee suggested it was better if I didn't share the video because it suggested in the video that it was easy to upgrade the game, which he said was untrue. Also he felt the tone of the video was anti blizzard because it was posed as me proving I could edit my own remake of the Object Editor to allow custom folders in 10 minutes, rather than me saying something constructive to Blizzard. He was kind of right and also Blizzard always wins.

    I figured it was better if I respected his point if view; so, I deleted the video.

    Hey I was watching your video about how patch 1.30 reduces the matrix limit to 255 and remembered this missile model which no longer works in the new patch for some reason and it only has 7 matrices which stumped me. Do you mind taking a look at it if you can get it working with 1.30 since it works 100% in 1.26
