  • Hi Taur, you are the best model maker in this community, have you ever considered making Arthas prince version, and the Corrupted version?
    Tauer
    Tauer
Hey there! Thanks for the support :)
Arthas is not currently on my todo list I'm afraid - but I won't rule him out in the future ;)
Hello!! I'm fascinated by your work! I wanted to ask if you are going to upload the kargaht and killrog models to the hive. They look great!!!

PD: I hope the translator helps you understand me.

Hello! Thank you for your compliments :D
Kilrogg and Kargath will be released eventually, I promise you :)
    Hello,

I have some troubles with your model BlackToothGrinGrunt. It has weapon disappearing in some time of animation. Please, do you know how to fix this?

Hi! I'm afraid I don't really offer support for my old models anymore. I made them a decade ago and don't really remember much about them. They probably contain a ton of errors that I wouldn't know how to fix now.
Hi, I'm reorganising my old resources and I may want to upload some of them to the Hive.
This icon: https://www.hiveworkshop.com/attachments/btnkrasus-png.316496/ for your Krasus model is one of them, although it will be substandard at best and maybe restricted.
I know you're generally okay with these thing, but I want to ask if it's alright with you anyway?
Hey, great models, I hope to see more orcs of these clans. In particular I hope to see some mag'har orc skins for your models, I think ner'zhul would be epic
Hi Tauer, I just love your work with Horde heroes reworked. Some of the best models out there. Out of curiosity: are you planning to continue with that? Which models are you planning to do? I would love to see Kargath Bladefist reworked to the new standard ! :)
I am a very big fan of your work. Your models always fit that vanilla feeling and always bring something new to the game. You bring that perfect balance. I hope you keep it up this way :D
So I guess this is your chance to finally Blizzard 'discover' your talent in making wc3 models and finally hire you as one of their own. Reforged is your chance if you ask me. I am sure you did sculpting before so you will easily handle new way of modeling now. :)

    A man can dream :D
But honestly, I don't think I'm at that level yet. I don't really have that much experience with sculpting, PBR materials and the like, all of which are used in Reforged. I'd like to try my hand at it though! I'll probably at least try to remaster one of my models when it comes out.

We will all try to make something from the new models when it comes out. :)

(Post) the "hit" effects and animations is a fantastic idea! Need more people to endorse it
    Reputation (+2):
(Post) Yeah, I really hope classic Warcraft III will also benefit from a bit of graphics tweaking :)
Hi Tauer. How are You ! I like your work very much. Are you interested in an project partnership? If yes write me an p-message with your email !
Hey! You still working on stuff?
    Tauer
    Tauer
Hello! I do have a project in the works but haven't really worked on it lately due to stuff going on IRL. Not sure when it'll be finished right now, but it will be released at some point :)
Hi Tauer can you make orgirm dommhamer but brown not green and can you make brown blackhand and Kilrogg deadeye please ?
Large project, huh? Does it have something to do with Traggey's models maybe? :)

His models will work great with your animations, though I'd suggest (if you are finishing his staff) to touch his skins too as they look pretty HQ to warcraft textures. Pretty sure you know that. Good luck on the project! I can't wait to see it.
    Tauer
    Tauer
Hey there Stefan! It's a good guess but it's actually not Traggey's models :p

I'll probably contact Traggey regarding that when I'm finished with my current project. As for what that is, I'd rather keep it a surprise :)

I don't know how much work I'll be doing on Traggey's stuff if I do that, I guess it depends on how much he's done himself already. Not sure I'd feel too good about desecrating his awesome textures though.

Oooh, I like it even more now. :D

Great to hear that. I hope it will get finished soon.
My guess is also you are finishing your Turalyon, Alleria and you started some other human hero too? Young Uther perhaps. :)

Hey man. Quick question, do you plan to give Garrosh and his Gorehowl the same do-over as Grom?
    Tauer
    Tauer
Maybe at some point! It's definitely not on my schedule at the moment, but I'm not ruling anything out :)
    Tauer
    Tauer
Hey, thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately I'm not going to be making that model, seeing as I hate that design for Blackhand. It's not really fitting for him in my opinion. Maybe someone else can make it :)
Hello, when you use 3dx Max for making models, do you start from a box or 2d polygon then extrude?
I would like to know which of the two do you recommend that saves more time on making a model. :)

The body modeling from box-mode is a good trick for quicker modeling. Hmmm... Zbrush? Sounds little familiar, could give it a try. For now, I'm making faces using spherized box with increased teselations/iterations then mirror, somehow I don't think if it is slower method. Is it a slow method?
    Tauer
    Tauer
No, I wouldn't call that a slow method. I think it's quite efficient. It might even be quicker than the edge method, but I think the edge method is more effective if you have a front and side reference image. It allows for pretty accurate modeling.

In the end, the best method is the one that you find works best for you. So if the spherized box method works fine for you, there's no reason to make any big changes to your work flow :)

Zbrush is worth looking into, but it might take some time to learn properly. It's very different from 3Ds Max.

Thanks, I'm learning the 3Ds Stuff , special thanks too to Lynda.com for its tutorials (you could check that too if you have to master or expand more of modeling) ^^ Hmm... Zbrush, I think I might drop that a bit because 3DS takes a lot of time and focus to learn, now I'm working on making trees hehehe
Hey there friend, doing any modeling or are you still busy as hell?
    Tauer
    Tauer
Hey hey! I am actually working on something right now. It's a fairly large project so it might be a little while before I get it released :)

    Good to know
Tauer, I just gotta say. I think your the best. I love your creations and congratulate your accomplishments well done!

    Tauer
Little late answer, but thank you for the compliments :D
Are you working on something new? You haven't uploaded in a long time
    Tauer
    Tauer
Unfortunately no. I've been pretty busy lately, and as such I've not had time to do any modeling.
Hey Tauer! I love the look of your models and you're a role model for me, so can I ask you a favor?

I'm making a model of the character Thanos from the movie Avengers: Infinity War, and I've been having trouble making a realistic/accurate looking face and head for the model. I looked at your Orgrim Doomhammer model and thought the head looked perfect.

If it's alright with you, could I use that part of the mesh for my model?

If it's too much to ask it's completely fine. I just want to get your permission first.

    Thanks in advance!
    Tauer
    Tauer
    Sure, no problem :)
For future reference, all of my models are completely free to use and edit, like it says in my signature. This includes using parts of my meshes. A heads up is always nice, but if I don't get back to you right away you're welcome to go ahead with the edit. No need to wait for permission.

BTW, looking forward to seeing the model! Infinity War was absolutely amazing, and Thanos is badass :D

    Wow! Thanks so much!

I just wanted to make sure you were okay with it, just in case. I don't just want to take parts of models without people's permission.

That's good to know for future reference like you said.

Thanks again so much! I'll make sure to credit you when I post the model.

Hey Tauer, can I edit your Gul'dan model ? A simple recolor for facial hair and removing the .. ''Back horns''
Tauer have you ever encountered a problem with the Grommash model, for some reason it won't load for me. If you find anything that could help me use your model that would be great :D (I'm using the normal Grommash Model)
