  • Could you tell me how do you make those control panel Heroes for game options, more specific how do you remove all their "command buttons" for movement, attack, stand etc. I tried searching for it but may be possible that I do not know the technical term so I couldn't find anything.

    You use triggers to remove the abilities. If you want to do this in GUI, create a unit variable called "u" and put these lines in custom script actions:

    call UnitRemoveAbility(udg_u, 'Aatk') // Attack, Patrol
    call UnitRemoveAbility(udg_u, 'Amov') // Move, Stop, Hold Position

    Another cool trick is that you can actually also use the "unspent skill points" indicator to show some value you want, by giving the hero unit a hero ability and then disabling that ability through triggers. You can then set unspent skill points through triggers.

    Hey Fingolfin, I've converted your Su-35 model to Starcraft 2. Check out that section anytime. :) I'm a little unsure of the attachment points I configured though.

    You will see why i haven't uploaded them... the terran buildings only have "fake" teamcolor (always red), most models lack the majority of their animations, no attachment points, the sound events are designed as if the ingame sounds were replaced... some of the textures are poorly compressed (happens when exported from 3ds max), if any texture is above 100kb, convert it to BMP using wc3 viewer and then back to BLP with 60% compression, and they will take much less space. Have fun, i guess.

    Hi, I downoaded your GrassTallFlowers model from here https://www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/tank-wars.240987/page-2#post-2438523 and it looks really great, except I got weird shadows when I tried to place it in the World Editor (looked fine in Magos for some reason).     I saw in your post that you mentioned something about unshaded layers or something, and was wondering if you could maybe edit the model to remove the shadows? Thanks!

    I can explain to you roughly how to solve this:
    *Open the model in magos model editor.
    *Go to Windows>Materials and double click the material.
    *You will see one or two sub-materials. Right click and add a new one. Double click on it.
    *Set the filter mode of this material to "blend" and the texture to the same as the others. Check "unshaded" and "twosided". Finally, set "alpha" to something suiting - maybe 0.3.
    *When you go to Window>Animation manager and play the "stand" animation, you will see the effect.

    Note that the higher alpha you add to the unshaded layer, the more the grass will appear to glow at night. It's a difficult trade-off, and you'll just have to either balance it yourself or just disable day/night cycle in your map.

    Hello, I have seen 2 models you made from SC2 (Stalker and Marauder) and I saw tan image uploaded by you on the Stalker page with really cool protoss models, if you didn't release them, why? if you have released them where can I find them? They look very cool, thanks in advance.

    It's practically finished, i just have to take some screenshots for the news post! I know Marcus is just sad because i won't let him edit the map, he even asked me once how much money i wanted for it. ;)

    How would I convert your Republic Gunship model to a StarCraft 2 compatible format? The files are not compatible with the game, and I can only guess that the .mdx format is for Warcraft 3.

    Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I apologize for bothering you on your Profile, I just started the process of porting custom models into my StarCraft 2 maps, so I am a bit of a noob. I got someone's m3 conversion on your Venator-Class Star Destroyer working, however it is the only file in m3 and dds format. Is there any tips/advice/help you can offer for this situation?

    The models were converted by a guy called HighKingUlfric (i think), you should ask him. I have to warn you though, Blizzard are a bit more strict on what you add into SC2 maps and usually consider Star Wars content to be copyright infringement. I know that one guy who used the ported Venator model got personally contacted by them and asked to remove it.
