  • i won't quit modeling , and i can't do that . cause i am a professional artist in a game company . the warcraft models just a very very basic and easy works , i do them for fun . i do the much more modeling works with my job . and thanks for ur words , the people u said Tauer, Direfury, Fingolfin... they are awesome , beacause they are not professional workers but still they have their own talent .
i had said that now i was doing a project by myself . recently just made some doodads for my map .
I see, they're old but I still don't get why they're not uploaded... Also didn't understand what you meant towards the end of your message? So, you don't want to upload them because they're old? They're still good and useful, please upload more models!
Hmm, you should ask Hayate to convert it to mdx first, then it would be okay.

I'll send you later, let me fix the uv maps first.
I start with a base model, usually a rifleman or bandit. I open and save-as other models whose geosets I need to add to the model and then edit to fit the design in my head.

If there isn't an existing mesh for what I am trying to get, I copy a single polygon, move it away from the model, copy and link it until I have the shape I need (sometimes this takes a while) and I move/scale it back onto the body of the model.

To slash animating time for decay-bits vanishing, I merge geosets that use the same texture and re-attach the polygons accordingly.

    Spartans! What is your profession?!
Meh wasn't proud enough of them when i started normal modeling, and never bothered to upload the updated ones.
Unfortunately, I've had some computer failure recently and just moved to a new machine. In addition, the Matrix Eater does not work on this new machine. I'll get back to you when I have written a version that works on my own computer.
Hey, thanks! Great to hear you like my software! Makes me think I should go back and get more of the bugs out of it.

I think this video that I made a while back might help:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqzAkMUNZxU

In that video, I had to move motion data from helpers onto bones. You might not have to -- it depends on the specific models and whether they are similar (like footman and demoness). Sometimes, when you hit "Motion From All", the MatrixEater is able to connect them together without you having to do very much.

Does your MatrixEater version have File -> Simple Import? That is another option. Sometimes that option can do everything for you, if you just use 'Transfer Single Animation'.
Sorry, I have been away from the hive for quite some time. You message me awhile ago asking for help with the Matrix Eater -- Are you still looking for help? If so, I probably could indeed help! :)
Now that was pretty easy enough thanks for the effort on making the pictures, its ok dude like me I find it really hard explaining in English too.
Maybe a picture will help XD Where did you learn it anyway, I mean which tutorial did you used?
Thanks :D. I'm gonna upgrade him, problem is that I don't really have the time this month :(. I'm thinkin' about givin' him alternate angel form, custom helmet, new face etc. :D

Ah, I am glad to hear this :) Thank you
    A
Yes, of course you did :)
I hope I can ask you again if another question occurs that seems to have no answer in Hive's tutorials or the Internet :)
    A
Ah, I see, than this work-around, well, it should do fine.
    Thanks a lot! :)
    A
No problem :) I am doing good, thank you.

Well, I do not know the terms, but I basically I mean: I have a simple geoset, consisting of four edges ( the points that are selectable), that's all. Now I want to seperate two edges from the geoset, that means two rectangles are created and therefore two new selectable points are created for each reactangle.

I use a mix of Blender, Mdlvis, Magos and MatrixEater.
    A
    Hey, how are you ?
I am making my first steps into modelling and I wanted to know, is there any way to separate a geoset, for example, there is a square, and I need two rectangles, but there are only four 'points', one for each edge.
I hope you understand what I mean :/
and btw the new version of Lieutenant is really better than before . though it done with some others' help . but still u had already improved urself a lot .
and there are some problems :
first try the face closer to helm , u know the warcraft game angle , it should be goof - u can see the cape in his helm and just found that his face was just a part .
second fix the animation of the cape , now it looks wired .
three , the portrait , u will see the eyeballs when he close his eyes , and the eyelids are too bright , they should be in shadow in helm , that's not correct .
