Also if you break the rules, you'll get -Rep, and if your rep reaches a number under zero(you currently have 1), your gem(s) will become red, to indicate you have negative reputation(shortly, -Rep). Your current rep is a "colorful" gem(also called "the rainbow gem"). You will get another one as soon as you will reach 10 rep. My current rep is 3 big, green jewels - indicating 90-120 rep. Hmm... You said you don't know what rep is. Do you see those gems near everyones posts(under their name) and also on their profiles? Those are called Reputation Point(shortly, Rep). You give rep to other people using this button:
