Our government spend the last couple of months fighting for power within its coalition instead of preparing the country for COVID wave 2.
And guess what, now that the virus has returned and our healthcare system pretty much starts to fall apart, the government decides to use the Constitution Tribunal (some time ago the ruling party brute forced a number of its former politicians and "friends" into CT as judges, so now they have control over what CT does) to change INCREDIBLY CONTROVERSIAL abortion compromise, despite knowing that the last time they've tried to do it, it causes mass protests.
Yeah, but wait, there's more. The chief of the ruling party who just so happens to be vice-prime minister responsible for internal safety, reacts to ongoing mass protests by calling the ruling party supporters to defend the country and "win the war" (to be fair, both sides call it that).

Like, it's probably going to blow over eventually, because our ruling party likely won't budge and it's going to be hard to keep people protesting for much longer than they already have, but the situation is so tense that a single spark can make people fight each other in the streets.
All of that in the middle of the pandemic where our healthcare system is barely managing to keep up with the infections. Sigh.
