I'm still enjoying 1.26 thank you very much. :)

I have many concerns about Re4ged, but I've ranted enough since they first announced it (let alone since launch) that I'm not particularly inclined to go over them again. There's too much rage in the world and it's not healthy to dwell on it!

I plan myself to downgrade my 100% legal 1.27a digital version to 1.26a (and below) soonish for testing purposes, maybe even on W98SE in a VM.

This free to download version is imho an important one for those who want Classic back. 'cuz now they all can have it if they want to, and they can all have it the *proper* and *legal* way; I am sure this will be a very drastic change for many, hehe...
;D

It could be an official and acknowledged 'base version' for many third-party developments. It might also be the first of several other full downloadable versions (including any from the 1.28.0 => 1.31.1 era), because why not? Blizzard has the technology to make it a reality!...

I am still in the process of helping someone, but preliminary info might infer there could be a TFT 1.26a US digital version somewhere on their servers.

If you do not mind and if HDD space and bandwidth allow, I would personally encourage you to download any digital version you care for, of WC3 1.27a + StarCraft 1.15.2 + Diablo II 1.14b, even if you do not plan to install them. I will explain why in the next comment, so stay tuned.
