    In case you are interested in downloading the *full* offline standalone digital version of StarCraft+BroodWar 1.15.2 from Blizzard's servers without any Battle.net account, you can do it for free with their own Legacy Downloader. This version will not replace your CD-ROM one unfortunately (there might be at least one difference in the Registry entries iirc, I vaguely remember reading it a long time ago...). But hey...

    I hope someday Blizzard might eventually also make official optical media image files available, for their classic games (D2, WC3, SCBW). As of this writing, only the full standalone digital download versions of D2 v1.14b, SC v1.15.2 and WC3 v1.27a are freely downloadable from them, without any Battle.net account, in any language and for any OS

    The *full* digital versions of Diablo II v1.14b, StarCraft v1.15.2 and WC3 v1.27a (plus their respective expansions) are free to download from Blizzard's servers, by anybody and without any Battle.net account (because Blizzard has removed the checks!). They can be downloaded in any language, and for any OS.

    CD-keys are still required to install them after you have downloaded them. Diablo II 1.14b requires a 26-digit CD-key.

    After you have downloaded any of them, you can keep them forever. And you may install /uninstall them at will whenever and wherever you want.

    I have myself downloaded all of them in American, English and French, all for PCs. Then I have installed WC3 and D2, no problem at all. Do note that I do not have any other version of WC3 installed. In fact, I had uninstalled v1.31.1, to make room for WC3 1.27a and D2.

    To download them on your computer, you need the Legacy Downloader, not the regular one.

    These digital versions do not 'phone home', btw
