Frankly, the trigger editor seems OK. What I'm having actual difficulties with is the Object Editor. Making abilities especially. Units are pretty annoying to make too but seems a bit more straightforward since you can copy others.
Abilities however, you'd want to edit them and that's where the issues appear. You can make very complex stuff with projectiles, AoE without requiring the use of the trigger editor for that. Saves time and whatnot, that if you can figure out all the actor-effect-behaviour-model-whatnot links and all the options for each of these...

This full set of WC3 assets was introduced in a PTR, and we do not know if they will make it to any final release. Plus if they make it, it might be as paid content only.

The SC2 digital download went from 24 GB in 2019 to 38 GB in 2020 with this PTR. Because many have complained about the 24 GB monolithic download for WC3 1.32.0>, it might twart WC3 modders away from adopting it.

I hope someday the SC2 download comes with opt-in features regarding assets in general. That is, it would install the core engine and nothing else. From that point, one would be given the power to decide which 'extras' to download and nothing more. Such 'extras' could be:
- the free WoL campaign
- any of the paid other two campaigns
- the full assets of WoL+HotS+LotV (for arcade mode compatibility)
- the full assets of WC3 only
... or any relevant combination of the above (and more), so we can have our games our way.

I mean as separate downloadable modules, if you prefer. Only the core engine would be mandatory to download. This would be to reduce the HDD footprint.

How many SC2 players care for any fantasy assets from another game? How many people care for force-downloaded content they will never pay for in order to access them?

More and more i wish classic stay classic forever and Reforged has being built on new engine (based on sc2, cause its most logical)

- implement all benefits from sc2 recenlty added mechanics, world-galaxy editor features
-do a totaly new art designs, do totaly professional and new devs gathered from around franchies...Proven people or new people too...
Ask support from classic team, and then let them go back to their team and maintain classic games...

-within a decade after release start delivering new expansions
-after a decade, furthermore bring more benefits, features, and bring the game into the state where we would not only have : ladder,custom maps,campaigns,custom campaigns, but rather open world mmo with fog of war.
Skins,artifacts,dressing rooms.

Well, regarding 'classic stay classic forever', I am pointing out that the full 1.27a digital version is free to download from Blizzard's servers. And imho this one may be here to stay for many months (years?), at least as long as the current versions still have so many issues.

Maybe this full digital version is the powerful good base you are talking about?

I am talking about Reforged becoming totaly new game based on warcraft 3, built on powerful engine based on sc2 (since they impleented wc3 features there). And classic stay classic and have nothing to do with reforged anymore

a)Wait 2-3 years and choose that option, new devs, totaly new art,new features,modern game,and get new expansions,stable game,constantly updated with new art and maintaine well.

b)Wait 2-3 years just to bring back classic fetures that exist before,and at best case get how wc3 used to look before...

Are every WC3 mod and every WC3 replay compatible with the SC2 PTR? Has SC2 the same OS and hardware requirements as Classic Warcraft 3? Will SC2 get other patches that may put everything mentioned above in jeopardy?

At least, WC3 V1.27a is frozen (ba-dum! tschhhh!) in time, and is not bound to change anytime soon.

Jesus. I just said steal sc2 engine and editor-mechnics features recently added, uprade graphical engine. Make new editor more wc3 user interface friendly....

And lets start a totaly new game called Reforged, while classic remain classic.

Why new? Cause on this old code progress is slow. And on new engine you basically have stable and modern game with NEW EXPANSIONS.

So pick up the option : 1. Wait 2-3 years so classic team bring game to some stable state and bring back missin classic features.

2. Wait 2-3 years warcraft 3 being remake on hybrid engine made out of sc2.
New expansions within decade, skins, and who knows what else....

Thats the whole point. Their intentions was best for us, keepin the community not split apart with the crossplay.

They listen to us. But its just not possible to work like this anymore. Sorry folks,thats the way it is.

New art,new devs,new everything. End of the story
