But that terrain is a very good one imo! I see that you're modelling on Blender too btw, do you use Fingolfin's add-on to export into mdl and then convert mdx with the mdl/mdx tool? Or are you doing sth else?

    Thanks!

I used to convert .blend to .obj, and then .obj to .mdx with Milkshape. I know right? Counter-intuitive. Then the normals started fucking up.
    Now I use Fingolfin's exporter.

Magos' Model Editor seems to convert .mdl to .mdx just fine.

Yup the first method seems rather an unpleasant work :pp Oh didn't know Magos could do the work! Since Fingolfin's tutorial mentions a bit of problems about animations tho I will animate the model(if I can actually model it) in Mdlvis on mdx format. Modeling on Blender is lot more fun btw.

While I have a problem with being unable to wrap individual vertices in blender, I agree. It's superior to MDLvis on most fronts.

I don't know how to animate in it though. Maybe I'll learn some basics for the contest if I'm not lazy enough. :P

Totally agreed. Oh i havent thought about wrapping too! Thats the main reason Im going with a simple design. Mostly shaped with big ugly boxes :p

Once you rig the model it is very easy to animate in mdlvis! I even created some obsolete animations in it. Just know where to put bones and references which I dont know much about :(

My aim is to learn about modelling too hence my participation for the contest :p im racing for the last spot!
