From what I can see, he's actually a good composer. He made the music for Chaos: Reborn. That means something!

Yeah, my pc is almost barely handling my current contest song, all because the samples are huge... and the reading is badly made.

Yeah, I see many soundtracks on his Souncloud profile. Also, he's from Sofia, Bulgaria. So it says and his name is George (Strezov).

A trick about the samples is this: Decide what samples you will use and how and where (cuts/panning/volume knobs/pitching etc...), open up a new project and only load that sample and do whatever you did in your original track. Then export it as WAVE. Then load it in via an Audio Clip, or directly whichever fits your needs. Then delete the sampler. This'll save a good amount of CPU for you but it'll take more time and planning.

I'm thinking of getting FL 12 64 bit soon. That way I'll be able to use 16gbs of RAM. Rn my FL is 32 bit and it crashes at 4gb which is a pain in the ass.

Heyy thanks a lot :') You too. And wait till you hear the new pieces I've been working on ;))

I'm trying not to get caught up in that library. To be honest, I can literally know when it's used on some Youtube tracks too. I'm trying to use them as simple staccatos, or just for some small sections as a fresh sound. I've used the sample directly in Dİvergent Conflicts(main sections), and Not to be Overwhelmed(outro section), so I'm trying to refrain from using the pre sets. I have a lot more libraries now so I'll have more distinct sounds hehe

Man, Divergent Conflicts starts so well but then you filled it with Action Strings. I would've hybridized it with those futuristic instruments/FX instead.

Lemme send a short WIP then hehe: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1tuYomlfq2xqlIoBn8tlca_xVtMnR6AJD

I will add the story of the piece on Youtube when I finish it.

I started writing that piece so long ago, and it changed in the span of a literal year. That's why it sounds both good and bad. I had to finish and get over with it at some point. When I started writing it, I knew what I had in mind but I didn't have the skills to put them on the DAW, and I didn't have the libraries. During its development I acquired the Cinebrass Core, and I had to learn them quickly to add them into the song. It turned out well for an amateur work tbh. But now even the way I approach before starting a composition has changed.

Amateur (,you)? You make my self feel bad.
You should find another FX for the drop. You've been using that kick in older songs as well.

You're gonna make me blush here :PP I wasn't gonna dig too much in the mastering n mixing but there are a lot of instruments which overlap in certain frequencies I couldn't stop myself :p

Glad you could sort out the Reeverb Kick haha :D I'll probably just remove it, it doesn't fit in very well.

I don't pay for SC and I won't pay for it ever. I've read some articles about their policies against artists, I'm thinking of not using it ever again too. I'll forward it to you if I can find it.

Even if you knew how to play the piano, you'd still need to buy a MIDI keyboard for orchestrating. They're not awfully expensive but they also have a big ass. There's no room for me to store it in my room without removing some other stuff.

If you don't pay for SC pro, you can always upload tracks. The total time can't exceed 2.5 hours or so. If it does, you can always delete your older tracks and create more time for new ones.

If I could afford(obviously) and had time and space I'd buy two electric guitars (1 would a 6string PRS guitar idk which model, and a 7string badboy for playing some heavy deathcore shit :p), a violin, a piano, a midi keyboard, and maybe a cello :p and ofc a flamenco guitar <3

    WHy buy a bass tho?

Well, the 7th string guitar still doesn't sound like a bass with the bass FX and digital ones are well digital.

I was thinking of buying a duduk and even an oboe or English horn. I love those but well... I also love the bass (not the guitar/electric one I was referring to earlier) but the strings one like the cello and stuff. By the way, I love the cello too... Man so many possibilities but so little time and money in the end.

7th String should sound like this you gotta listen to all of this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy2MLw_JMJk

Hmm, I like woodwinds but they're a bit messy to play. You know, spit everywhere :D The instrument in the WIP I sent you starts with English Horn(or cor anglais) btw! I like Oboe a lot, duduk is a bit traditional, so I can't fit the tone in a western orchestra yet, but i'M sure it is possible.

Cello is such an elegant instrument. The tone itself is very calming and rich with age and wisdom. IKR!? One of my life goals is to be able to work like Hans Zİmmer. Have you seen his studio for Bladerunner? They prepared a big studio with so many instruments in it, and some high end PCs. All he had to do was get in create stuff! He worked with Benjamin in this movie tho.

I didn't rep back actually. REpping is a way to acknowledge someone's work imo, after seeing your rep, I remembered I was gonna listen to your track!

Yeah but they have a bass guitar that's playing at the same time. Trust me, the 7th string even if tuned down even more won't sound like an actual bass. It's OK but not what I want it to sound like.

    Benjamin?
Hans Zimmer is cool but gets repetitive (style mostly). I guess most composers do.
A huge studio for some digital sounds he used? :D

Benjamin Wallfisch. I've never heard of him before him working with Hans. Maybe I was living under a rock hehe

oh I'm not comparing it to bass guitar. I just love those heavy riffs with the 7th string.

What I love about Hans is, he created this new genre and a path for people like us to compose from their homes. He is a very innovative man. He is not the greatest composer but his ideas are what make him one of the top notch composers in this era.

It's not about using the instruments in the final piece. He might be more comfortable with coming up with melodies on the guitar, or he arranges the compositions on the piano maybe. It's about how people respect and value him; he gets in there ready to just compose and nothing else.

I know their site haha :D I've been using many of their VSTs for years ;) but thanks!

I used to start most of my songs on classical guitar (as a reference) then ported the ideas in a DAW. I also composed some songs in my mind and ported them on the DAW since I didn't have a midi-controller and later discovered you could use the PC keyboard to play notes in FL Studio. But now, this might make me lazy in what music thinking is concerned.

I can recommend creating the structure of the piece on paper too. Not the melodies or else. Just ideas. Note down where you want Brass to enter, add in sustained violins, or what themes you want to depict in some areas. Just main structure, then try to find melodies or chords, write down counter melodies later on.

The keyboard is great yeah but I wouldn't trust them for recording and playing. There is a big delay when you press the key and when it actually sends the input, and on keyboard you can only give 3 or 5 inputs at the same time depending on your hardware. Mine can handle 3 keys which is no good for chords.

That's the problem, I don't think music that much anymore and plus I don't this sense of knowing what kind of instrument I'd need in a part or another. I'm a bit random.

I don't really have delay when playing with the midi-controller and I can touch ten (provided I don't use more than 10 fingers) keys at a time, lol.

Maybe, you haven't set the drivers right. I'm usuing ASIO4ALL and I am suspecting you're doing the same.

Don't hesitate about it. If you want to learn these stuff it's actually fun. I didn't know much about instruments as well, but you start getting familiar as you listen and think of them at the same time. Then with enough trial and error you develop some ear and quick thinking for how to using them. It starts by imitating your idols and then you eventually find your own way.

Oh you have a midi keyboard? Cuz with the normal keyboard, you shouldn't be able to O.o and PC keyboard is not fun at all for playing instruments. I mean the notes are in such an awful order, it's just bad :(

It's very plastic. It does not feel like a piano and if you don't have long fingers, it's pretty hard to play it properly. The keys are quite big.

I'm sure it is. Keyboards aren't the same as piano keys but it'd be so much better than this keyboard. You must've seen some videos where people play chords on these keyboards for violins or cellos. You'd feel so much power under your fingertips!
