    I want to keep the original texture of the face, but the body and armour need to use in-game ones-- HNNG

    Hey, HerrDave, I need some help.
    I really like your Dieselpunk troops but one thing is really standing in my way. You see, a map of mine is a fantasy-steampunk mashup and I need some sort of melee Diselpunk troops.
    So I decided to use Attachments, but however, I had ran into many problems and require just a simple aid.

    I would like the parts of the Dieselpunk troops to be used as attachments ingame. What I need is
    -Diselpunk Helmet(All variants welcome, especially that SICK Officer hlemet)
    -Diselpunk Armor(All variants would be welcome)
    -Diselpunk Guns(except the Machinegun)
    -Diselpunk Boots(All variants would be welcome)
    -Diselpunk Backpack(All varaints would be welcome)

    Hmm.. head to the models section and type in "attachment" and look for the most active attachment modeler - he/she might be able to help you out there.

    I've had nothing but trouble working with attachments, so I gave it up to learn how to animate better :\
    Hmm.. have you thought about making a bus? not super-modern, but kinda modern one. Or maybe an APC, or a tank, or a spitfire plane

    Hey, will you make WWI snipers or snipers are just for WWII?(there were snipers in WWI though)
    if you are gonna make WWI snipers, for the german sniper, id recommend using these masks and wearing trench coat

    could you check the following models:
    Panzer (III and IV)and M4 sherman, they dont have attack sound when doing attack anims
    German Panzerschreck, mortar attack sound doesnt fit it and comes late after attacking
    Knight's Cross Holder(STG guy), when he attacks, rifleman sound and gyrocopter sound comes simultaneously

    - I've been playing SwtoR and avoiding modeling, only very recently have I modeled anything - namely Legolas from WotR

    - I have some WWI buildings, but they were rejected

    - I'm waiting on concept art from a friend on the French Soldiers
    The Renault FT was already made by somebody else, though I might be able to WotK-ify it

    - I'm waiting on concept art for more WWI/II British soldiers, namely I need the Trench Fighter and Sniper to look unique.

    shouldn't be the french soldiers just wear blue uniforms with caps and adrian helmets like your old models, i ,mean why need a concept art?
    do you mean the uncompleted renault FT model that i sent you?

    about the trench fighter, like i told you before, you could make a guy with a brodie and gas mask with revolver and spiked club, with the pistol anims with the old officer anims as base(crouch and shoot), and alternate anims which fights with spiked club(though that may sound time consuming :(

    the ww2 english sniper could use the usual military sniper grass/tree uniform(i dont know what it is called in english), and ww1 sniper would be just british rifleman with sniper anims

    Thats sad to hear : (, i guess ill have to use fingolfin's mortar teams then but the problem is they dont look warcraft-ish like your models
    but why not make the field gun a generic(not faction specific) unmanned defensive building like your AA cannon or the Naval Cannon? just a suggestion if you decide to change your opinion

    I genuinely don't like working on these models anymore, it went from a fun little project and turned into a sprawling pack spanning both world wars..

    For one guy, unpaid, that's a ton of actual work that has no return

    A remarkable amount of research and creativity goes into conceptualizing and stylizing each model, and then it gets buried under requests for variants when I upload it. :\

    btw a small suggestion what about making the anti aircraft cannon model a single shot attack anim with cannon sound? you know the real qf 1 pounder had a rate of fire of 300

    will you consider adding throw grenade(spell throw) animations to SMG models or to the german stormtrooper at least?
    i find it strange that the standard rifleman can throw grenades but the specialist stormtrooper who is equipped with grenades cant

    also are you going to do ww1 workers or will you just use wc3 peasant?
    If you made the Kaiser model I assume there will other "Hero" type units?

    Also can you post the bridge model? (Or can I have it at least?)

    May i ask how are you gonna do the ww1 british elite (the counterpart of german stomtrooper "SMG1" model)?
    they didn't have any smg in ww1, are you gonna give them shotguns or may i suggest revolver & spiked club?

    Now that you have made heavy machineguns, you can use their animations as base for making ww1 and ww2 field guns/anti-tank cannons(if you intend to make them) quicker than from scratch

    HerrDave, you could make the Anti-Tank gun somewhat "sentient" just have there be 1 loader who does the stand ready anim and the anti-tank gun moves on its own.. Sort of what Fingolfin (butchered his name) made for his anti-tank guns except you can add a loader/gunner.

    To be fair Dave, the heavy machine guns of the great war had crews of 5. I don't think anyone would mind if the artillery had a one-man crew.

    no need to make ww1 ACs h.dave, i already made some :) (but if you need more i can make i think, if it doesn't require animating)

    As for HMGs,if they are done, what are you waiting for before uploading? im extremely excited for them!!(using old mg teams near the new models just doesn't look right u know)

    also why 140 models, isn't it just making one model(i mean for humans not tanks) then changing skin and head(for example mortars just make one mortar guy then change helmet and skin same for riflemen and mg teams, no need to make everything from scratch!)

    If no, you should upload them along with your model bundle instead to the icon sect according to the rules.
    If yes, they should at least be substandart-ed, try telling Panda it's not purely a screenshot or contact a staff member.

    you could also use the animations for a field gun man not just mg

    about the mg, just the russians with puleymot anims and other factions with different but same animations(not wheel animations) so it's like

    british:lewis gun,bren gun
    french:chauchat,Fm 24/29
    russian:DP-27 MG
    all above would use same animations(i suggest a set of animations where he carries the MG on his shoulder like your old "elite" models and alternate set as the prone sniper animations)

    All field guns and AT guns, be it ww1 or ww2 could use wheel HMG anims as base

    Apparently, the Soviet DShK heavy machine gun as it appears in CoH2 is also wheel-mounted, which means you could also consider having a wheel-mounted DShK sharing the same Russian Puleymot Maxima animations.

    It's going to be a monumental challenge, as if I do make this heavy unit, then I'll be expected to make mortars as well. 1 for each war, 2 for each faction, 14 models for just the machinegunners, 24 if I make both them and the mortars. x_x
    Since you seem to have trouble animating 2 people at same time(teams), what about using just one man?
    you could use zess's HMG as a base of animations
    i don't think you have to care about realism if your map is bit cartoonish (i mean, even siege units in wc3 doesn't have people xD)
    Also could i ask you for help with the attack animation of the austin AC?
