Ofc this meant shutting down the mentioned snippet. Current state of jass resources subforum is crappy at best. We don't want this additional weight to drag us down any longer.
If you need a reason, just read the thread : )
Wut. Approval criteria are not met. It's plain as that.
Goal is to clean up the subforum, because it is a mess.
Look where wurst is. I'm using wurst because it is modern. However, because one cannot just scrap vJass, it is preferable for us to fix jass subforum.
Doing nothing - which most users done for a very long period of time - does not help : (
We need to:
- remove resources not meeting approval criteria
- fix existing snippets for 1.28+ (moderator needed)
- categorize resources: containers, utils, events (...)
and such.
Such single resources are not too important if they were approved in past and there is not a really good reason to have them removed today, even they maybe would not be approved by current mods.
We also won't go through old spells and maps and remove those that don't match current standards. It's kind of wasted effort for the win.
I believe JASS section can have an other focus than just moving this very resource because you doubt it's concept's usefulness.
Read more than just the first sentence.
However, to sum up the "first": whatever you say about it, know this: it has more views/ replies than most vjass snippets/libs just because.. peps said it should be removed :)
And because it's on the 1st page, it's like a red flag - avoid this subforum, nubs here :)
One more thing.
Reviewing old stuff is important. At least when speaking of such essential part as coding subforum. Term 'software development' without 'development' loses its spirit - ain't it?
Otherwise, this will become another graveyard, just like wc3 and the helper are.
"I believe JASS section can have an other focus than just moving this very resource because you doubt it's concept's usefulness."
Guess I have to copy:
"We need to:

- categorize resources: containers, utils, events (...)
and such."
