    Would the possibility of adding a certain native BlzGetUnitFromGroup(integer index) returns unit be feasible? This was originally proposed by DracoL1ch, and would make random access a breeze in execution.

    Oh, and with custom buffs, would the introduction of a new flag specifically for buff stacking of different buffs with same base be possible? It would be placed in Gameplay Constants and would default to false, to not break backwards compatibility.
    I'm glad you are bringing life back into the game. I have been devoted to Warcraft III for over a decade and i really have to say seeing 24 player lobbies is fantastic. Sure wish you guys would consider making it a free to play or putting the game on sale so that more people would join into the action. My only other suggestion to you that I'm sure a few people have already given you would be, removing bots from the hosting platform altogether; which in turn would make it easier to find custom games that have real people in them.     If Blizzard were to re-release/sell RoC and TFT as a single bundle, then it might be a good idea to make one campaign fully playable for free, to hook the player and potential purchaser. The fully playable campaign could be the Humans one, because they are easier to relate to (plus, the ending cinematic is a great cliffhanger imho).

    This would be no different than what ID Software had done already with Doom in 1993, by making the whole first episode (= 9 maps) playable for free with the shareware version of the game.

    Kam, it has been about 5 years since i spent any time here at Hive. I remember you were working on some tasty WC2 flavored maps, BTT. We played one of them on some P2P program. Looks like you produced a good deal more BTT stuff since then. There were a couple of projects like that going on here that i would have liked to contribute to, but i really didn't have skills to offer -and i have considerably less now! Glad to see this place still open, and you still here. This site represents so many great resources from so many people -it is good that they can still be enjoyed! :)

    May I suggest the following for the next updates:

    A lot of users are complaining about things related to battle.net. As it stands, I would say their concerns should be given priority once at least 90% of the natives are up and running, which should override the priority of introducing even newer natives.

    I have a question about the natives, is it possible to have getters/setters on units attributes (armor, damages, ...) for bonus.
    Greetings Kam, would it be possible to implement an option to move command buttons and minimap completely into the corner of the screen (how it was before widescreen). A lot of people aren't comfortable with it being in the middle, there's a lot of wasted space?

    And what about widescreen menus without black pillars? The UI is organized in .fdf files inside MPQ, it shouldn't be too hard to correctly create a proper widescreen mode for main menus.

    Right now we are focused on game play performance and editor features but we are aware of these. The menu UI is not a simple fix.
    Hey, would/could you put the word for some of the best melee maps here to be part of the official melee ladder shuffles?
    Hello @Kam. I have this update issue with the PTR. My PTR version right now is 1.29.08803, and I tried updating it, to no avail. I tried to update it by going on battle.net in the program, and after a prompt to restart the program (it hits 100%), I am taken to the launcher, where I would click on either the repair or launch. Once it launches the program again, the version is retained. Sorry for the wall of text.

    I tried to run the programs as Administrator,
    edited the Warcraft III Public Test in the registry editor (I was uninstalling it),
    reinstalling the program,
    to no avail.

    Hi Kam I was testing out some spells and I noticed that Big Bad Voodoo does not work on buildings even if you change it so that it should. I tried other similar spells, like Tranquility and they work. Big Bad Voodoo seems to one the only one that doesn't. I was wondering if this could possibly be a change implemented if possible?

    Good day, @Kam. I have recently downloaded the Warcraft 3 PTR 1.29. So far, I'm enjoying some of the new basic natives available now, such as the ability to modify base damage of a unit. My first question is this, when will the patch come out live on the main Warcraft 3 program? Will it have more natives than what has already been offered?

    As to the topic of natives, I will post some more in the Producer Update, Natives List thread.

    Love the news I've been reading! I wanted to ask you about triggers, specifically one that's always bugged me. It is the one that starts with "A unit is attacked." Basically this trigger activates when the attacking unit begins their attacking animation rather than when the attacked unit is damaged. This is problematic for spells or abilities that have a % chance to activate when attacking or being attacked. I was wondering if we might be able to get this changed or have another trigger added? Also, after the patch hits, will I have to redo all my spell triggers that use dummies or will they be unaffected?

    My application of the dummies? Mostly for spells such as custom auras. For example if an aura gives attacking units a chance to enrage, the trigger activates and a dummy spawns that cast a baseline spell like bloodlust on the target.

    Edit: Also I'm wondering if there will be an increase to transportation limits for units such as zeppelins and boats in the editor? Currently the max limit is ten. You can set it higher but the game will crash.

    Edit 2: Sorry one more thing. Will it be possible to copy imported model and texture files from one map to another while still retaining their file paths? I know that files can be imported all at once but its pretty inconvenient having to reedit all their file paths again, especially for icons.

    WEX is usable now with 1.28, I am sure MindWorX will update for 1.29 since it is released. JNGP works for now but you will run into errors at some point. The default WE allows for use of the native in GUI currently.

    Hi Kam, I notice your avatar is of Teron, so i thought you might be interested in checking out my coop map series as they are released over time, since Teron is the most important hero for the Orc campaign of my series :p. He is the most fun to play and has huge character development :) Teron, along with the other heroes, all have their wcII soundset.

    Hi Kam, so this has been a bug for as long as I can remember. Basically if you choose to test a map from World Editor before saving, sometimes your the file sizes of your imported models/textures change to 0 and if you save this causes your imported files to corrupt and they will no longer be usable. This has happened to me a few times and having to re-import everything can be a lot of work. Not sure if you were aware of this bug but any chance we could get this addressed in the future?
