so, i found this http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/2449799-post18.html in 4ormer texturing thread. get my jaw dropped on looking this and suprised that this texture isn't finished yet. so, i plucked my jaw from the floor and get here to ask you something. i wonder if i can share it to the resource section to use if i finish it? it's prohibited on the rules, but it's such a shame that this texture lying around unfinished while it only take about 20 minute to finish it.

if i may, i'm probably going to upload it in here http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/requests-341/hives-simple-edit-resources-thread-266899/ and give full credit to 4ormer. but would be nice if you can find me a way to allow me upload it into the resource section so this awesome texture can get more attention it deserve.

I tried zipping it, it goes up onto the pastebin but then no one can successfully download it. Which is why I used gif.

What I mean about google is that if I send it to a gmail account, then being an executing file is the reason Google gives for deleting it. I just assumed that your system has similar reasons

does the hive.workshop.allow jar and executing files to be paste in the paste bin?

because that is actually.an.executing file.but I changed it to a gif because Google keeps deleting it otherwise

Joke aside, I think neven1 refers to other problems, related to Youtube / internet connectivity here.

I had previously pointed out here, lots of Youtube videos can be a pain for low-end computers, or if Youtube has problems of its own, or for computers with slow internet connection.

A slow-loading main page (whatever the reason) may drive off some internet viewers from the THW site. Google understood from the very beginning, a fast loading page with no fat is of paramount importance. This is why I first put the videos between tags. A news page with loading issues can be bad for business and public image imho.

I understand THW's communication strategy is to emphasize multimedia/visual contents on the news page, in order to be more attractive to the casual surfer. Yet, there can be drawbacks.

It might be interesting to know whether other people complain or not.

Hi chieftain...I am terribley sorry for bothering you for such an unimportant matter but can you please give me a link to the thread that you made about posting photos of hive on IT stores?I cant seem to find it anywhere and i did not sub. to it

Maybe papers about new official Patch releases can help make the News section more dynamic ? Cheap, but effective. Also, it might help serve the Hive's own Master Plan (tm).

Since 2016, Blizzard released 3 patches for Diablo II (current is 1.14c). Dr Super Good himself seemed to have trouble finding info about that last one, even though I suspect he is a Diablo Universe fan (thread here, fyi).

My forté is solid documentation and strong argumentation, but I still lack skills in layout and visual "fancy stuff". Plus I write Frenglish. I am more of a research-and-publish scientific / historic research kind of guy.

But thanks to you, I may now improve my tutorials someday, and make PurgeandFire's life (hopefully) easier.


The "haxxored" last news post had me increasingly worried over time. It was a bit of bad publicity for the Hive (like, "Hi Internet, we are The Hive Workshop, we are the largest English-speaking WC3 and SC2 community online, we got haxxored and we have no news to post even though things happen in Blizzard's realms, therefore we are very credible as a community who wants to create long-standing ties with Blizzard").

Hope I can improve my skills in News Posting in the future.

I hav an idea... why don't you make some kind of tab/option when submitting some resource, that contains credits. And these credits to send the viewer to the creator,s resource, and also there to have a tab in every user's profile that shows all resources that credited him..?
