No, but I learn german at school. God I hate that language xD
My teacher has a big contribution to my hate, but hopefully I won't have to see her again :D
Well, I just got my DSD exam results. It's a B2 (the lower score), but I don't really give so many fucks about german anyway. I have to concentrate on my end year exams now :/
More near Calgary a city I do like better.
Just certain areas I been in more than others.
Oh and well about Canada, I am not sure.
I usually don't get into much of people's lives, but it is fun living here.
Was born and raised in Canada, and I love my life here.

Well anyway too thanks for the Illidan edit model you made for me.
Really well to have normal Illidan, and demon Illidan.
If I need anymore help could you well help me out?
Not going to ask you, a lot of times, but yeah.
Well not really sure how many Canadians have jobs and don't have jobs.
If you are so interested in Canada how about you look it up yourself?
Not sure what you want really, because I only really lived in Alberta and not sure about the other places in Canada.

Besides that how are you doing?
I'll rather wait to see what Blizz includes in their upcoming patch. I'm afraid I'll have to pass. :/
I've been doing some research and got both good news and bad news.

Good news: If we were able to locate the setting in the mpq that blocks the overwriting, we'd be able to do what we like to do about custom team colors.

Bad news: We'd have to edit Blizzard's files in a way that is prohibited by the Blizzard licence standards. Therefore, we cannot proceed without doing something that is considered as illegal. We'll have to be satisfied with the already existing options, I'm afraid. :/
Then there's another strange thing: I added the custom colors to the war3x.mpq, not the war3.mpq and it's working perfectly fine.
I'm pretty sure I managed to edit that one too while experimenting last year. Not absolutely sure though, also can't remember how that should be possible.
I'll run a few tests tomorrow after work to be sure about 12, 13, 14 and 15. And then I'll take a closer look at WC3s other files. Somewhere must the setting be found that contains the order to take the colors from the mpq directly.
I'm currently busy editing one of my campaigns, but once I'm done with that, I'll spend quite some time with this and try to accomplish what we are working on. I don't know, but I feel like Blizz had a reason to do that - perhaps they wanted to patch in more colors later? Or sell them with an expansion and never did that? It doesn't matter, we'll keep trying - even if I have to edit the whole mpq for that.
Neutral Extra and Neutral Victim can be used with triggers. I don't know for certain about extra, but all units that belong to neutral Victim are attacked by player units and don't defend themselves.
You can use the colors with Player - Set color to color of player Neutral Victim/Extra. So yeah, two more colors that can be activated via trigger.

Edit: There is also one more issue about custom colors: The scorescreen.
    Yeah, exactly.
If we could find out where the order comes from that makes Warcraft III take the mpq files rather than imported ones, wer could perhaps overwrite that order and make it use rather imported files - like with skins or other imported files using original paths.
I also wonder why this is different from other blp files. You can easily overwrite any other blp with no problem by using the Import Editor.
Okay, but still, one word and you're in the credits. :3
Hmm, I'm not sure, but I *think* that should be somehow fixable with triggers. I didn't check the existing triggers yet, though.
I don't know, but editing every single model can't be the only way, there must be another one... If there only was a way to make WC take the imported files rather than the mpq ones...
I didn't want to take any the praise from you and the others, I assure you. One word and I add your entire thread to the credits. I only wanted a tutorial to be there, and still I too was working on that last year, I decided to create the thread. I did put quite some time in experiments related to that matter as well.
I agree, while A Void's method is closer to what we'd like to have, it's too much work with the whole "modify every model" thing. My method on the other hand is only "meh" as well since it's limited to one person's game only.
If we're lucky, Blizzard might consider adding more colors and perhaps even player slots with the new patch (I doubt both though).
    We'll keep trying.
