It is not a change being visible to many users. Most users won't even notice there is
now that option.
However, it is still better than the flood of screenshot icons.
As long as one does not print to every uploaded icon 'dis is cutted artwork, from blizz, gim them credit'
none it going to notice.
I doubt it will actually effect upload behaviour. Cutting off is not as easy as one might think
and you can still reject such icons because their quality is not sufficient enough.

I did not expect it to be accepted. I rather expected a rule rephrase to restrict it.
I am not going to destroy beautiful pieces of artworks, not doing that.

I agree with your argument about the rules, but I would also like to ask you one thing:
Is there really a difference between manipulating Blizzard artwork to create an icon and
modifying an actual icon ?
Just because an original Blizzard Entertainment icon has the size 64x64, we still modify
it, adding WC3 borders to it, maybe improve it freehand to reduce noise and correct points.
So I don't see a difference, do you ? In both cases, users manipulate Blizzard artworks,
one case just has the correct size already.
