I think we could replace the footman with GIs, Warriors (dwarf footman) with Battle Suits (Iron Golems), Crossbowmen (human ranged) with Marines, Riflemen with Cannoneer (A dwarf dude with a cannon), Knights with Siege Cadres and Bear Riders with Mecha Bear Riders.
