I think I can manage hard. Insane is not impossible but I am not willing to put down the time.

Well I did every mission on the first try. The only hard mission was the l last one because I can't play zerg at all.

Just normal. Though, afterwards I played some co-op on hard and got a few victories. I won 3 out of 4 I think, so I am satisfied.

The Protos gameplay is quite different from the wc3 melee style though, maybe that's why.

Btw, I tried DA Origins. It's not bad, but the combat is kinda lame.

You should try ID2, it's a really good game. Hard too. Black Isle's swan song in my opinion.
It's also funny how they are not doing ID2EE because it's a different ruleset and engine is a little modified. Please, the guy named Kaiser reverse engineered Doom 64 (Nintendo 64) and Powerslave (Playstation) to work on PC flawlessly. Plus some other guy who's name I forgot also alone reverse engineered the DOS game Strife to work in his Doom source port Vavoom. Then shared his work with everyone so now I can play it in GZDoom, ZDoom, Zandronum or whatever else source port for Doom ever pops up it will work.
But these guys who are a whole studio can't do two games which are a little different from what they're used to.

I think that that is your decision to make, but if you want to replace the links of human book
with the links to the proper playlists (eg human - human, orc - orc, ....) instead of human-human, orc - human, ...

I like BG because it's more open ended than ID, you are free to explore woods in search of adventure or what not while in ID you are forced into a linear path.
Though what cripples BG for me is horrible path finding and it really makes it not deserve to be held so high as a masterpiece. What's worse is that EE didn't fixed this, vanilla ID had much much improved path finding over BG but they fucked it up with IDEE, so now ID feels like a TC mod for BG2 and not like ID. Seriously the path finding ruins whole BG and entire EE lineup.

Icewind Dale still holds a special place in my heart. I love Baldur's Gate but I started playing it like 5 years after I played Icewind Dale 1 and Fallout 1 and 2.

It's going well. I didn't have much to work on your map because of school, but I'll get to it this weekend.
