  • Well, I don't really have any ideas. That's part of the problem. Goblin spells are hard to think up. I'll give it a try.

    Maybe, a blink where a zeppelin flies in and picks the hero up and drops it off at a target point.
    ,or....
    A meat hook type projectile that's more like a saw blade that whips around in a circle knocking units backs.
    ,or....
    Monkey wrench: Hero throws a monkey wrench at enemy mechanical units damaging them and making them impossible to repair for 30 seconds.
    ,or...
    Clockwork cyclone: Clockworkers rush forward in a whirlwind disassembling all mechanical units in a straight line.

    I don't know. Maybe look at WoW or some of the goblin spells here.

    Bouncing spell bomb? Does it bounce around casting different buffs onto units it hits?

    I think we need more goblin-type spells. There is a distinct lack of physical/mechanical type spells. I made a box-trap spell once called "prison cell" for a warden hero. It was based on entangle but didn't do damage. When it ended the box burst apart. I made a custom model for it. It was a mini wyvern box. There are a few goblin spells but they aren't that good. Maybe I will make some and release it as my first spell pack.
    It's been good. It's so warm on the east coast. I like seeing my family but I miss being home too. I'm still in Pennsylvania. I can't believe my map only has 2 comments and no real reviews. Your spell should be approved. The Iceman is a good guy. What's next on your list for things to do?
    Ok, true for your map. But 'best practice' is to explain for to people to create good habits. In all situations the 'best practice' would be to import models 1st, import abilities 2nd, import units 3rd, import triggers last. Your spells are so well coded that they are super easy to import and will have very few problems no matter what order they are imported in. But the best way is the way we try to do things, right? How have you been?
    I decided some simultaneous talk would be good for my cinematic. Don't worry about how it will work, leave that to me. I'm just having trouble getting it to work. I appreciate the time you've spent helping me.
    Previously I had a system which wasn't MUI that required each unit to finish talking before another began, however I wanted to allow units to talk simultaneously. That's why I developed this system. The example trigger I posted was merely a test trigger.

    The link I posted on your wall yesterday didnt work. Even without using waits (queing triggers with countdown timers instead), my system is still bugging. I might bump the original thread and see if somebody can solve the issue. I don't want to revert to my old speech system :(
    What do you mean by run the loop one phrase at a time? Would that still be MUI, because multiple units may be talking at the same time.
    What about this limit? You mean 100 at any given time right? Or you mean you can only create at most 100 floating texts in the same game?

    At its current state, it could improve. Plus, I will make it GUI friendly and submit it in the Spells System Sections..

    I can't make the dreadlord death animations yet, not good enough with particle emitters or sound chunks.

    I am having trouble making the stabbing animation for the Orc Pikeman, his chest keeps warping/shrinking and I cannot figure out why.
    If you know anything about housing or know anybody willing to take like $1000-$1500 a month for rent near the area (like, 1-2 kilometers at most from the Beach), do tell!

    (The relocation bonus may be $10,000, but that's pre-tax...)

    Hey KILLCIDE, what software are you using to capture a GIF of your spells?
    And also if you're not busy, can you check out this spell? Are the visuals enough or do I need to add more? (I'm asking you because you're good at visuals).
    Hmm, you could try making height directly proportional to the distance (range). Example, h = kd where k is some value you preferred based on testing. Try different values of k and if some value matches a desired visual effect, use that.
