  • Dude, I Can't beat Zylcious on TCO! Whenever I Deal 1500000 He again starts healing :(
Okay I didn't get it at first. I just posted mine.

The swap actually works in chapter 4. I tried it many times and it worked every time for every box, unlike other chapters where things go haywire!
Actually the quest appeared after I used the dust of appearance, not the opposite. Same as the playthrough. Are you really intending to make an update?
No there wasn't a hint. But it wasn't so hard to figure out anyways. Once, Xvareon was in the middle on the map and I saw many clones of him on the sides, so I clicked on him and saw his status was 'ultimate spell' which had a description saying that it will be game over if I didn't reduce his mana to zero. And there shouldn't be a hint also. It's already a good fight as it is.

But if you're thinking about adding hints, you should add one in chapter 8. Add a hint for finding the epic boss... I only found him after looking in the playthrough... I mean who would think about using an item of invisible sight on the walls of Rot'Afor? :D
Xvareon is the final boss. That fight has 5 stages. The first three you fight against Xvareon in different settings but they're ok. The fourth setting you fight 3 elementals (I forgot their name sorry) but if a hero dies he doesn't resurrect. The fifth and final phase (where the song 'the cjosen ones' is played) is the one I was stuck at until I found out about his ultimate spell. During the last phase the description said: You have 10 minutes to survive but if you reduce Xvareon's health to 50% you'll be given 10 more minutes to defeat him. So I survived the 10 minutes but didn't really do much damage and got the Xvareon vs Fradz (the dragon) cutscene.

And that's what I meant by 'I survived but didn't kill Xvareon'.... Sorry if I typed too much or wasted your time.
Hard difficulty, but I won. I mean, I survived but didn't actually kill Xvareon.
Yes I found out about the 'special spell' after failing horribly a couple of times :D

Yes, Magaeca/Nagaeca are the items you are talking about. The first time I played chapter 10 I hadn't explored all the chapter well. I was very curious to see how it ends so I rushed to the boss fight not knowing about those items. Maybe they can turn the battle around :) Thanks Aero :D
    Thanks for the link.
I mean Xvareon. It's very creative and a fitting boss fight for the ending of a great campaign. But I'm really curious, is there a cinematic for defeating Xvareon other than the one I saw after surviving the 10 minutes? Also, I noticed that the more I fight Xvareon the weaker the heroes get in terms of level and skill level. I want to know if that's intentional.
Nope. The youtube playthroughs stopped at chapter 8.
Chapter 9 and 10 epic bosses are really tough... and i really love the final boss fight. Well done, sir.
    So, Aero....
Did you make the chapter 10 epic boss to be actually beatable? :D
I have Legendary and mythic items and I can't even beat it in normal mode...
    Any hints, please? :D
    Late happy birthday =)
Great job on TCO again! I still hope you'll keep updating it a bit and doing it jointly with your book(s) =)
I wish you a great deal of more awesome inspiration!

(Post) For making the best single player campaign on WC3. So sad to see you go. Please come back from time to time.
I don't know how more I could praise the fun and function of that system... Have you ever played Fallout New Vegas hardcore difficulty? Or Skyrim with realism mods? It was THAT awesome. Hunger system made your campaign that awesome. That is the best and easiest way to describe that feeling your campaign gave before.
Dude, the hunger system wasn't irritating, it was just making everything a bit more challenging, albeit without being "extreme". And you also liked to make the campaign as challenging as possible as well, as far as I'm aware? Who cares about noobs, this game is a game that is being learned by failing, you said? You just had to make strategies like an economist while playing, which made everything feel even more awesome, plus it brought even an another reason to use your other amazing feature "give up". Give up function is only for getting the recipe items, now.

The hunger system itself was amazing, and no, it was actually realistic as well. Brought more of an air of realism than other average RPGs, that's for sure. Now that the hunger system is gone, the only strategy left in the game is the tactics that you develop while fighting bosses. Which is nothing special. Okay, not telling that your campaign is nothing special nor downgraded to average RPGs, but I'm telling you, removing that system made a horrible step on downgrading The Chosen Ones to your average grindy boring RPGs posted in hiveworkshop. Believe me.

You had even installed quick-eat button for characters in other tab, which made everything easier and awesomer as well.

Which maps/campaigns in hiveworkshop don't have a food system implemented in? Every RPG in hiveworkshop doesn't have! But, yours was the unique one, the only one which did have that feature, and now it's gone as well. All RPG's were just recycled copies of each other and your's weren't, dude. That system was the thing which set The Chosen Ones apart from any other. It was the number 1 thing which made The Chosen Ones arguably the best RPG of hiveworkshop.
No it wasn't the trend of nowadays nor yesterday. It straight out watered down the whole campaign, and eliminated it's whole charm, no less. I can't even see why there would be a reason to remove a perfectly working system anyways.
Removing the hunger system from the chosen ones was a huge mistake, really. The biggest mistake ever. It was the hunger system which made this very campaign so unique, and different, recognizable amongst any other campaign done in hiveworkshop. It was this campaign which implemented it and executed it so amazingly, that it was that feature which made this campaign so awesome and challenging in a way. But those days are gone now, you have poor judgement, my friend creator, just like dreaming to be successful in taking a writer career, no offense. But I'm thinking for the greater good, and I just felt like that these things needs to be said.
Was kita's exactly as you wanted?

I thought I made it exactly as you requested.... My apologies. I don't see what I did wrong though.

Yep, yep. Good. Just finishing my campaign then never ever need to touch world editor again. Also then I can move on with my life. Finally - it's about time.
