That depends on the score given actually.
If I give a map null in a section it doesn't exactly need to be a bad thing. Let's take the arena map example. If I feel like, "Shit I need to score 5/5 in the story section or else I might not get a 5/5 in the overall score."
There'll be three options.
1. Add a element into the map that isn't exactly supposed to be there and aim for 5/5 and by doing so transforming the map you had in mind to a hybrid-something else map.
2. Add a basic level of the element/section, aka maybe giving each hero a very short background story. And maybe get a 3/5
3. Don't bother add something that isn't supposed to be there.
In my opinion the two first ones aren't always viable.
TLDR; The fact that a person has put more effort into adding one section 'extra' doesn't mean that it'll be of benefit to the map-enjoyment. Making it a design choice and not a flaw.
Yeah I'd have to change the titles in my review for cinematics. However there are so few of them so I haven't had the need to edit my program to support it yet.
