  • RED BARON, are you still up in making gif avatars? I might think of adding a little tweak on my current avatar.
"After the purge" ? I seem to have missed something ;o....

And it's good to hear that i'm not the only one using HiveWorkshop knowledge and experience in real life :p!
well now even new year passed .u. no more reasons to change my avatar .u.
Hope your Christmas was good as well :). I live in Roskilde now by the way. Bought an apartment there. I also have a dog!
just the new year one, but it's pretty rapidly approaching :xxd:

oh and, funny thing.. yesterday my net went completely 'ded' for a whole day .u.
Came by to check on the hive (first time in... long time?) and you're still active !

Have a good new year soon, cheers!
Yo bro! I added a red border on the christmas gif you made for me, I hope it's okay :D

    Thank you. :D

You are?, Can I request? :D
I can't remember. I believe it was animated.

By the way, we totally forgot to go for a walk...
nope, it's a saint of a serbian orthodox church, croatians are catholics

and i don't really need an avatar change just for my patron saint thing .u. let's save it for new year and orthodox christmas, which is after
I don't remember where I found it. My current avatar is a merge of the background and the girl.

I think this is the same image though.

edit: if you don't feel like doing it exactly the same all over again you can do it on this image instead :P (even though you'd have to be a little creative since adding a hat is kinda impossible)

Haha.. a look back at our convo:

    This.
Nikola, which kiinda can loosely translate to st nickolas or however he's called, just that ours is having absolutely no connection to christmas XD
Will it be tough to animate it? Isn't the animated version posted in your thread already?
Thanks for the avatar, you're too kind.

However I do not celebrate Christmas, I hope you understand. Here's some rep though.
    could be me.. *raises hand*

edit: can you change the size to 175x175 though? ^^
If I resize myself the quality goes bonkers.
well it is that Christmasy time :xxd: or in my case, my patron saint celebration is looming, so yeah, everyone is busy
Hehe, I think most people hate Tiny Tina even more than they hate Claptrap... But I like Claptrap, so I think that says everything you need to know about my opinions!
I was in it for the story too, and Borderlands 2 is waaaaay stronger on that front. If you don't like the kind of humour it won't work, but I do and it was really good. I used to play strategy games but I'm rubbish at strategy -- I'm more into reflex action. The problem is, as you say, more action games focus on multiplayer and neglect singleplayer/story... Another reason why I'm having to construct my own singleplayer story-driven action game.
    Hi!

The coming weeks will be terrible because we've got to handle multiple assignments and this exam epoch promises not to be light. Anyhow, things are... going. They always have to...

I appreciate the avatar =D but isn't it a bit too small?
Hmm, I wasn't aware of this! To be honest, co-op games never convinced me -- most of the time co-op games are "better" because you enjoy spending time with your friends, not because the game is actually any better. Hell, I found Borderlands to be worse with other people because they didn't play it the same way as me.
Ahh I see. Yeah, I still remembers it as it really left an impression to me(Maybe because it was made by a friend ^.^).
I haven't played any HMM games so not sure what you're referring to there. Basically it's all about direct control with the mouse and hammering buttons to cast abilities towards the cursor. As I've said in all my blogs, hack 'n' slashers I've played seem to avoid pure direct control and let you sit back a bit more like a WC3 RPG. I always figured WC3 RPGs weren't as good as they could be because of that attack-move-to-win attitude, but most action-RPGs I've checked out just do that without unit AI -- it just adds extra tedium of always issuing orders rather than letting the game handle the basics while you focus on casting the spells.
My frame of reference is obviously WC3; imagine that, but with bridges being truly walkable and projectiles having real motion. As far as what I've already built goes, it is truly 3D even if the control scheme is based on a flat plane -- if you target an enemy above or below, your character's turret will pivot to shoot towards it. The basics, though, are pretty safely isometric and I'm just building up from there with what feels right.
Hehe, I had actually 'left' a while back, just logged in from time to time to update the list.
I dunno, I guess I don't have the time anymore. Gosh I'm really starting to feel like a grown-up with stuff to do. Well school's killing me.
Anywho, yeah. I'm always on Skype though, if you wanna chat.
I keep looking at roguelike games, then they turn out to be turn-based or 2D platformers and I really don't want any of that. This is basically why I need to make my own game(s) -- nobody else seems to have produced quite what I'm looking for. :clol:
Yeah, my uncle keeps telling me that degree is just something that you can show off, the real deal is how you manage the actual work. I wish you good luck on your job hunting! I know that you're someone who can do something that you set your mind on.

Just stop by once in a while when you have time
