  • I have an answer: Yes-ish sorta-kinda. : )

Well, *blows on knuckles, rubs shirt*, I don't know about "good"... :p* But I definitely love designing stuff, and have a lot of experience(s) & knowledge from which to draw on. It's something I rather enjoy (enough to think about it often in my free-time), and I've played a variety of RTS's to have some idea as to how they work.

Now I've got a question: Why do you ask? : ) I'm simply curious.
Yeah, but two-legged walk only, not four-legged like what you're doing.
In two-legged walking, I always follow the formula:
Right foot backside = Left hand frontside.
Left foot backside = Right hand frontside.
(^^,) After I saw you making animations, I was inspired to make some too. And voila! I can make basic attack, walk, stand, etc animations. Just basic tho.

    EDIT:
You do Geomerge too? Your animal models are good. How you used that magnataur face as the gorilla face is nice.
the maker on the models? well i have the link to where it is, but there is no maker credited anywhere.
Yay! I've learned how to make some basic animations using War3Mdlvis! Yay! Just yay!
Eh, now i have turned off the computer, its too.cold in the room where my computer is, i am online with my tablet android. I will check it out later. Can i thank u somehow for your help?
Damn, i thought it need to be rotated or something. Can i do that in mdlvis? Also thanks for your help, Hayate :)
The model has just helpers and bones under them, like mesh 27, 01... it dont have bone hand right, or something like that, there is just helper bone arm2 right
Hey i tried something, when i click on the bone in mdlvis, it displays on list of bones, which... Mesh26, Mesh27, what bone should i attach the shield?
I know how to add textures, material, geosets, only i dont know to add the shield, i mean, i know, i add it but the animations dont work properly, i tried mmoving it around but nothing, i think rotating and that stuff need to be done somehow
Yes, i have some models geomerged, like the one in the thread i asked u about, it work now, i have about 5 models that i finished. Just simple edit, new head, sword. But i must ask u about something about the shield. When i add the shield to a footman and play attack defend or other animation, the shield dont move properly, does that need geoset animations or something?
Well, sorry if i am being borring, but i really want to learn. There is a video of animating in mdlvis on youtube, but i cant follow all steps, the guy just works fast.
Right, i will start something today. After deleting the geosets i need to add another all sepperate?
Wow, that is good tutorial, u need to finish it. So let me sure i understand, if i want to make mounted paladin, for example, i must delete all geosets from knight(ex) except the bones, right?
Well i dont know, some video tutorial will help. I have that oinkerwinkle transfer tool but it wont work.
Also what program do u use to make models?
Hey Hayate, what about that teaching me animating? If u can teach me now because i am off of school until 20 january, so i wanna learn while i still have time.
Nice but can u make a potrait inside the model for it to use instead of seperated potrait model and the fire is ugly could u fix the fire.
Im back! ;) sorry I left without warning xD Im gonna be rebooting my PC today but all our files is on a single hard drive.
i think there is but it involves other modeling programs. i only use mdlvis so its really the only wrapping technique i got used to.
its all about utilizing vertex usage and making good use of the projection function in the UV editor. i also like to separate specific parts of the mesh i'm making if i can't wrap it properly using the projection thingy. for example, when i was making my nerubian arbalest model, i copied and separated the gold trimmings on his carapace and wrapped it. after that i wrapped the green carapace itself then merged the trimmings and the carapace together. this only works if the parts of the skin are far away from what you want to wrap your meshes on.
yep mdlvis. its my bread and butter when it comes to modeling. its got everything and its mainly meant for making warcraft models so i can't be bothered learning other stuff like interfaces that don't actually relate to warcraft modeling.
Yeah, it's very nice. :) How are you?

By the way, do you know of a texture that only has wings? Vertical?
well, yeah, i suppose that's the case haha. probably i'm more pumped up when making meshes than making effects thats why i finished the model really quick. i'm much lazier when it comes to adding sounds, spawn objects, particles to models.
No it's just seasonal because my rep is 1993 and donuts became love in that year. :p

    Nice, FingerCraft?
ah yes, i see where youre getting at. his face doesn't look that threatening on first glance right? i'll see what i can do to that
well i guess he can always stab someone with his iceberg arm when somebody tries to screw him up.
    I actually forgot, overthinking my blades. ;_;

    Any suggestions on the current?
Yes dude are you good with buildings, like adding birth animations, a base, rally point location and also some fire effects when its low health? My creep buildings request haven't been done yet :(
