    i could find out the help zone location so i post it here. why are my warcraft 3 silent? each time it could not initialize the sound system. why?

    Also cheese being planning on making a hidden attack like warping an army into the back of their base.

    The most cheesiest act imo would be warping in Dark Templars into the back of their base and slicing up their supply collectors really fast.
    Also that they are invisible it makes a lot of players rage if they don't end up observing me well enough to predict and possibly counter them.

    Arraying instant spells. The common convention is to use Temp Variables, not Arrayed since it is instant.

    I'm not sure. I remember seeing you in wc3c though, before my account got viciously mutinied deleted due to the server lapse.

    Yeah, I was those people. I joined HC6, which I think you did. Dec '12, where I arrayed instant spells. xD
    Sorry for being horribly unintelligible in our conversation, I thought that people would get what I'm thinking with just a few dull words.
    My judging was based on how the heroes fit into a melee game. I tested all the heroes in real games with no cheats. Anything external to the hero like back stories or flavor text had no consideration.

    Based on the review Softmints was more reliant on technical problems. For instance while we pointed out some of the same balance concerns you got a higher rating from me because I grade the whole project both in what it currently is and what it can be. What you have here is not a finished hero entry for the resource section, but a wonderful platform to expand upon. Dreamscape especially is something worth pursuing.

    I would agree that some of the visuals can improve. I also agree that you should build his three regular abilities around his ultimate. Softmints defining it as a "plane-swapping" hero is something I really like. Move more towards that. I do not agree that your hero is the second-worst entry but that is my opinion.

    You should go back to work on your hero and polish it. The one flaw I see in many contests we have here is that so many times a contestant is dissatisfied with their score and walks away from their entry rather than refining and submitting it.
    Oh I see. Do you think you'll submit a pack to the resource section?
    I'd prefer you do it as it is your creation, I just think it would be a shame if it weren't polished for release. There's no rush.

    I cut some parts in the plates, about the animations, i believe that its easier to request a slow walk and a open mouth stand later that made the old model work. This version has a shorter mouth. The wood armor is attached to the right bones, my idea about the front is add golden spikes or maybe cut and paste some plates.

    Not modelling for some time Xd l. Because I just started college Xd (today is the third day in college)
    So I would probably stop taking request after I had done all my request, and be less active on hive later, not sure tho, depend on how busy I am in college
    How to explain, the old model even with the item attached in the proper bones can't keep the items moving in a natural form, for example in death animation the body run the normal animation, but the armor and the shell keep floating mid air.

    And the same problem happened with the swimming animations.

    The other can't accept attachment and was imposible to me to made it work, i was going to send this last week but a little parasite problem made me sick enough to not touch the pc for a week.

    magos is still god for adding textures and materials and using them on different geosets, mdlvis is better for wrapping, editing meshes and other stuff. I use combinations of both constantly.
    Well there should be list on the right side of your monitor, where you click on the little boxes where you choose geosets.
    Loook with mdlvis, you will just move all mdlvis files in the folder where you have W3 installed so it can acces all the ingame textures. Wrap is kinda easy, you just select the part of the mesh you want to wrap and then you press F2 button end you are in wrapping section. One rule in mdlvis - make copies of your model you are working on. Mdlvis is fine, easy tool once you learn with it, but it has some bugs, so it can ruin your model. I learned the hard way - on the russian version, not knowing any word or alphabet. So right now I could work on mdlvis with eyes closed, knowing exactly where are the bugs or flaws. Keep diggina nd you will learn that mdlvis is really fine tool.
    Lol... Right after posting, I went ahead & checked the Hive's tool section, found the MDLvis they have, and downloaded it for kicks (I'm on a school computer, rather than my home computer, so I can't really do much, just figured I'd mess around)...

    And after opening it up, it's all (mostly) in English. Lol. I was about to Edit my post but you got there before me. xD

    (what's "Aéa"? I mean, the rest of the options inside it make sense, but I'm just curious)

    Alright, well that makes some things easier... So I'll have to poke around with that a bit more when I get home tonight (can't believe I left my flash drive... All my War3 files & textures & such...). But in the mean-time, any tips/tricks that have helped you learn UV Wrapping? (does one really have to upload a .jpg version of a texture in order to know where to move the polies? etc)
    hmmmm... what dont you use mdlvis for changing textures? :D its really easier andd quicker...adn it works... :) I tryid it and all went properly.
    Ehm, what exactly did you do ? Describe. Well, I know I can change the skin for salamander vizier or thunder lizard. Only problem is, there I have not ever seen any green proto drake in wow lore. Thats all.
    For scale, those pillars are around five times the size of a regular human character.

    Anyway, that whole thing just sort of grated on my nerves. I've been modelling for... how many years? And the entire time, the majority of the comments I get involve arbitrary criticism. "That name you used to submit it under is wrong!" or "I don't like this one thing so the model sucks!" or shit along those lines. Apparently my ideas of my creations turn out wrong; then that cockroach guy decides to make giant versions of the least colossal thing in existance, and doesn't get the same bullshit.

    Why do you think I've taken a break from submitting models, and stick to my Gallery? I'd have some nasty stuff to say to the next person to whine about something ridiculous, like "Oh, their scar is on the wrong side! This sucks! You suck!".


    Anyway, nearly deleted Amonrath, but I've decided to go through with it. Fuck 'em, I'm going to win with him. See how they like that.
