    Well, only people with downloaded file in their local files folder can play the map. Other new-join players won't be available to do it. War of the Clans ALPHA usually fills up in less than 5 minutes, which is a great success.

    Where'd you get this idea? Nope. Congratulations on the fill time. The only thing "new" players can't do is see custom models/skins and/or hear custom sounds. That really isn't a big lost and quite the success as long as they like your map then they'll bother to spend some effort & time(1-2 minutes) getting the required files to make their WoC experiences far better.

    Since your map isn't costly in memory and doesn't use much RAM per game you could use a method I have recently came up with.

    That's the great part about local files. Anyone can join and play games with it. Just can't see or hear the custom files. At least they're not restricted like other methods, best method is this to by pass 8mb since it's made by Blizzard as well you can join any bnet game with it in there still.

    I have an idea for you, may I suggest using local files for model and texture files? Seeing as how you have so many people who want to play now, might help you add extra content instead of having to remove the highest file size files.
