[22-53-57] MasterHaosis: Rao Dao Zao, it is never explained how he can see or how he can speak, as nanobots does not have speakers
[22-54-38] Rao Dao Zao: T-1000 must also have a Skynet chip inside it, so there must be a small non-liquid core _somewhere_.
[22-54-57] Rao Dao Zao: (It can't be controlled remotely because it's sent to the past where Skynet does not exist yet.)

Also, real question is how it actually works, what is it's power source? It must operate somehow. Or perhaps its just coded to move so does not need any power source.
Yeah you are right about that. You remember that Jury of awesomeness. They tried to take out of site and to banish haosis virus, they called themselves ,,Elitists". They actually won round, but lost war. :cgrin:
Now they are gone for years and haosis virus is spreading still :cgrin:
....And to survive these hard times :cgrin:
hehe, that sounds like one of sects or mind control which politicians use to manipulate stupid people
Yes. And more people seems infected with haosis virus :cgrin:
it is not dying here, it is still alive. Maybe in modern democratic suit, but still alive and present haha
Ah, so its 4 times now? Am I leveled up here, like WC3 hero? Yeah, by time here, I got more experience...
hehe you are also old legend too.
First generation. You are 11 years here. I am second generation, that changes after few years.
So we have even those modern facebook-tablets generations. They lacking brain abilities, but nah.
Man this is never getting old, even newbs are impressed with this and using it.
I was not active for months, and when came back even moderators did username, smiley in my profile page haha
pls i need help...I already figured out how to export ms3d to mdx with its animations..
But i dont know why the vertex weight lost when ms3d was converted to mdx..
I've bookmarked that thread. Will read it before playing, its a very interesting idea indeed :)
I recently played your 'When the Freedom Slips Away', what a map, seriously who says epic maps need to be 256x256 size. Its like a universe in a nutshell. Everytime I thought It was the end....well, it was not hehehe
Next is 'This Wreckage', whenever I sit down next for wc3 Single player session.
A new map! I would like to know more about it.

About Redemption, I am making units now, which is proving to be a easier said then done task. Will try and make updates more frequent.
Yea, same same for me :wsmile: and in regards to Borderlands I have heard similar (I do own it + all the good dlc, however have not gotten around to actually playing it). Maybe I will some day, if for nothing else, then just to try out Tiny Tina.
Hehe, I basically never got caught up in borderlands as it for me relied too much on playing with others and grinding. And yea, it had some interesting characters, but given the choice I prefer strategy games and story. Still I do play games outside that genre and I always find it a shame when games only focus on the multiplayer and neglects the singleplayer experience.
Well you can also play it singleplayer no problem.. :wsmile: I played the whole thing solo, while I agree that having more would add to the experience it also works fine as solo. Not much replayability, even though they tried by adding different type of characters with different stats and items.
If I get you right, I would say a few of my previous mentioned games should have that to some extend, although it often comes down to combo moves in those, but say for instance Magika, if you know it. It requires some movement as well, to avoid damage, but else its all about putting together the abilities and aiming with the cursor.
Considered maybe a mix between a game like say HMM2 and a hack'slash without it being turnbased? (Just asking as the idea struck me when reading your post). But it sounds neat I gotta say.
Hehe, well there is a few roguelike 3D games, like Ziggurat (likely one of the better ones) or heavy bullets (or I guess to some degree the more procedural generated ones, with less focuses on gaining skills, such as Tower of Guns). None of them quite the perfect match I agree :wsmile:

Binding of Isac - Our Darker Purpose are top-down 2D graphical roguelikes - not platformers. Another that is turnbased, but on one hand also very interesting is Dungeon of the Endless. But I guess when it really comes down to it, in that genre you are likely looking at more space related games.

But how hard a line are you drawing with the 2D aspects? As there is multiple titles with a topdown - kinda 3D view with some hack'slash elements and what could easily have been roguelike.
Well, not really recommending Diablo, its a rather different beast and quite honestly I don't believe the third one would have sold at all if not for the name. Yes, the expansion has fixed multiple issues and thus people are more accepting of it, but really there is so many great ones out there (and cheaper). In point you might consider looking at roguelike games as well, since they have a lot of the hack'slash in them and they offer various ways of dealing with longevity of the game.

Btw: would never be a focus group :wgrin: More a list of general don't or do :wwink:
Also a darn shame I forgot to mention it while it was on sale, but the castlecrashers one is a fair example for a 2d hack'slash with the coop stuff in, but as yours is significantly different it might not be the right one. Anyway I'll continue the search for ideas, also just write if you want me to post some of the "game creation notes" and stuff.

Also dunno if your interested/know of it/have any option to participate, but a fair big game jam convention is opening in February: http://nordicgamejam.org/
Nice, oh and I recalled the game I really should have mentioned earlier: Bayonetta (and its sequal) though I figure you already know it, it is widely praised as one of the best in the genre :wsmile:
Precisely the point I often wonder, when I see people spending hours upon hours creating a mod, when what they are doing could easily be a game in its own right. And unity has made things so much easier (Yea, for danish guys :wsmile:). Meant joking as in adding more games that could consume time otherwise spent on your game, but of course I'll gladly add to tips and all, if any of those I got can be of help. I also have a rather large backlog of notes about game creation from various conferences and similar I I've been a part of, which I can check to see if any might apply for you. That said, I consider it likely that your time with mods have already fixed some of the biggest mistakes game creators often make, e.g being too ambitious or trying to do too much in too small a time frame. But lets see, I will have more - but one consideration I would always make when going for hack'slash is the replayability and longevity. The first being in regards to length (procedural generation comes to mind, when considering solutions others have taken) and the other is usually down to visual cues, flashy effects, more unlocks, enemy and area variety and so forth. Seeing as yours a a shooter, you'll likely have a harder time creating mechanics to truly differentiate different shooting styles in order to keep the player interested by introducing fresh takes (like say they would in Castlevania or the DMC series with combo moves. Another prime example would be the Metal Gear Rising one, with some stealth kills and nice kill animations thrown in). All that is of course depending on how lengthy you want it. Anyway I'll search my brain and notes to see if I come up with some stuff of interest. I'll be back :wcool:
Nice with the game  And good luck with it, nothing takes willpower and well, luck than creating a game. I'll gladly suggest some more Hack'&'Slash for your research  Nah, joking aside its nice to see others going the route from Wc3 to game creation.
Had a burst of creativity and made some silly map about mining gold (link is in my sig if you care). Came back to make a thread and see what shape the community's in. I'm otherwise busy with college work.
Hehe you are lucky to find good job after third time... Here almost every private business is crap.

So only lasers and machine gun bullets deal instant damage?
There are no other futuristic weapons such as electric bolts, repulsors, raulguns etc which also deal instant damage?
is it worth? Do you work for company or as freelancer?

I like how you set that targeting system, your robot is moving at various sides and shoots enemy robot in same time without miss.
Those are bullets, what about rockets or such? Are they accurate aswell or they can miss?
    I posted comment there :cgrin:

Man I am impressed. How long did it take to create this game?
I like how you can collect parts when destroy enemy robot and upgrade yourself.
But I noticed that its still unfinished, that elevator is unskinned.
Whats up man? Long time no see, although I haven't been here for long time (about six months more precisely)
Do you still play mass effect ?
