Hm I had VMs off oopsises. Anyway if you wanted to learn Javascript for reals, here's some hot tips to always keep on mind:
-Run Javascript as part of your html file, link
So use <script src="myscripts.js"></script> at the head of your html code, notice you need to have your .js file (javacript file) in the same folder as your .html/.htm file, same goes to your .css files.-Use jQuery, so you can accomplish something.
You don't need to download jQuery, you can refer to it at the head of your html, here's how (section jQuery CDN).-Run your script from time to time, or else your debugging process will get difficult.

Use ConTEXT for HTML, but you can use it for CSS and JavaScript too. I suggest you try Notepad++ for CSS and Javacript though.

But I don't use anything special for CSS, I use normal Windows Notepad for CSS files :D

The Javascript tutorials in Codecademy are good, but they want you to do the exact same way as they do so you can advance, which is annoying.

w3schools is really compact and visually good, but for javacript you need to learn it from codecademy.

Coding is kind of difficult to understand at the start, but it gets easier once you understand the philosophy behind it. Something like GUI can help you get started. I started JavaScript from codecademy.com, then I used google to find solutions to my problems. Also JavaScript is one of the easier languages, as it runs on browser.

I have a thread in the map development aswell and I see you have became intrested in my project.

Oh crap,you've played that?there is a reason I wanted it in need fix. That campaign is horrible,full of leaks bugs and incomplete stuff. I've already fixed and completed everything but I can't update it because an error 502 happend and it deleted the description

I didn't know of that map otherwise I would have made mine different.

Hmm, we have 39 pending maps, but the large majority have very lacking descriptions. It's likely I can do so a week after it's uploaded.
