I see you're putting up some awesome Star Wars models. There was this project a few years ago: http://www.moddb.com/mods/galaxy-at-war But it looks like it's been deserted, so maybe you or someone you know could take over the project if interested.
Say.. would an awesome model like Venator, and that other ship, need war3-stuff like origin, overhead, weapon, and such attachments? oO because it really behaves great ingame, sans that just wanting to see if that's a good thing to add in.
EDIT: Actually i tested it right after download, ingame, so i didn't really check how many attachment points it has.. but is it missing any? because i didn't see any origin-based effects like a thunderclap sfx, nor weapon-like effect like an orb
I use a combination of Magos' Model Editor, Mdlvis, and Gimp 2 for textures.
The reason I don't really use 3ds max is because I can't wrap my head around the thing, I load it up and that's where my head just stops. I don't know how to create/link vertexes on it in the slightest.
For the last two models that I've uploaded, when I update them their skin breaks (in-game it'll appear as a jumbled mess or just a white mesh) and it happens during the upload.
Has this ever happened to you, and if so what did you do to work around the giant phallic middle finger of buggery?

Don't want use wc3 models, but real lotr like your's sindarin elves and uruk hai ! Thank you what ever will be your answer ! You have done already so much for my project!

I looked threads about model making. Is it necessary to have 3dsmax or it ok with Gmax ?
It's been a long time, but if I remember correctly, setting the turn rate to 0.10 or below will force a unit to face the target before it can move and attack.
As for the aircraft flight pattern, it is controlled and managed through a script.
It worked like a charm, I've successfully installed it as well as wc3 art tools, now I just need to figure out how to use it!
Another small thing, do you know of anything that can open .lbr files or .lqr? I ask for a long (long, long, long) time ago in a galaxy far far away I zipped some files ye-olde style.
But now I've switched computers (got the file on a thumb-drive) the tech used to zip it doesn't seem to be around anymore, much like 3ds max 5. Would you happen to know of a program that can do so?
Sounds reasonable enough. I really need to make an alternative archer animation set, as my model bugs out when hunched over and behaving all sneaky-like.

May I request you another help? I need this model to have vertically rotating/spinning/rolling animation named "stand". I have edited that model (lowering it's position, removing all sound effects, and deleting birth animation). The original verison is here. I will use it for my spell.
I'm still waiting for author's permission though. But don't worry, I will just publish it when I have the permission
