  • Okay. Here we go.told myself I wouldn't panic but I am. Hi,can my name be changed to grommash pls?
I see you've done a lot of voice acting do you have any tips? is it all in the gear? Any specific program you find useful for voice acting?
That invading someone else's contest thread is not okay? It was fine when it was limited to just your stuff, but the moment you decided to edit someone else's work is when this gets problematic on a moral level.
To be perfectly frank, one of the main reasons I even care about this at all is because when Kyrbi0 hosted the Promotion\Ascension contest, you changed the image he picked to one of your own.
    ----------
when one makes sense of the contest's goal, the contest's title immediately makes sense.
    ----------
Hardly. More often than not, the title makes even less sense after reading the description. I have no idea what you're trying to convey by calling the contest "Atlas of Destruction". Contests are contests, not storybooks.
But you do, though. Here's one example in the near past. I've seen other people experience such problems as well.

Look, I realize that you really like the amount of freedom and creativity that you can 'inject' into the contests you host(which would be just about most of them), but I genuinely feel that those names, at least, are completely unnecessary, and cause more confusion than anything. I rarely ever see any polls about the contest theme anymore, and even when they exist, the name is still not as it was in the poll(e.g, "Promotion" would turn into the much vaguer "Journey of a Peasant"). Maybe I'm just a stickler for tradition, but I think the old way of doing crisp, sharp and obvious names is much better. I also prefer the simpler, non-photoshopped pictures which convey the theme across but that's my own problem and less of an actual issue.
Okay, enough sugar now or we'll kill our teeth.
btw when did I posted a bunch of memes around? I demand answers or I'll be starting a riot >:)
oh.. I had some issues on how to translate it properly. I think I get the general idea then, thanks.
I just have the slightest feeling that many people don't really like the strange and often confusing, if creative names.
To confirm the theme is basically Narnia? (If you have read that book) Which is basically that the person goes through a portal so that the person is forced to live in another era

Or do you mean like you live in the modern world with some kind of fantasy power, or the other way around?
Sure, but people get confused, complain, and overall I don't think it's appreciated as much as one would hope. :O
As a bystander who doesn't participate in most of these concepts, I'd like to note that most of the time, those random, if cool-sounding, sample names are more of a confusion and hinderance than they are a boost. At least from my perspective. Honestly, I think the original way of naming concepts makes more sense("Modeling Contest #64 - Giant Robots", for example, or "Hero Contest #89 - Neutral Races").
I actually found the reference I was looking for:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dota_2#Concept
"With Valve's acquisition of the franchise, the company adopted the term "Dota", which deviated from the original mod's acronym for "Defense of the Ancients". Erik Johnson explained that this was for the reason that the term "Dota" refers to a concept, rather than an acronym."

    So there's that. ^^
I don't have any direct source, but I've been on the wikis, in-game and on their site and I've never seen it refered to as "Defense of the Ancients 2", or indeed, "DotA 2" - it's always "Dota 2" or "DOTA 2". I might be lying here, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it mentioned in an interview somewhere that "Dota 2" is not intended to be an acronym.
Uh, just as a note. "DOTA 2" doesn't actually stand for anything, as far as I know. It's not "Defense of the Ancients 2", it's just "DOTA".
I appreciate that you did not punish me but I was insulting him because I was angry at a very sick joke and not because I disagreed with him, which I also did but that was beside the point.
COngrats on being the Admin also. Last time I saw, u became global mod. V fast promotions. U must be v good.
Woah... how much are you gonna pay for it? Just curious. xD

You're doing a very great job with your position.
What are they talkin' 'bout this "Admin" thingy? Does that mean you have the same exact power as Ralle now? Like can you ban anyone Back-to-Back-Left-and-Right? If so, then you're a real Faeroh of the Hive now.
    Uhhm

Just a small correction on your Techtree contest's description.

    ----------
Only entry per person is allowed.
    ----------
You're missing the number of entry allowed.
    Actually scratch that, my VM is weird at best ;~;

I never asked you , but how did you ended up being a mod in the first place? I mean back pre-2010 and such.
I posted a bunch of memes? wow. I guess I overlooked that aspect.
Anyway, how about Potato Enforcer instead of Administrator as your title? :)
    No idea, I think I was unstable yesterday, shame on me ;__;

btw could you reject my request to join Medivh's Tower? I realized it was a mistake to make it ;/
You need to help Kyrbi0 decide the biome theme in case everyone seems confused. Just choose one of most popular themes, we don't need another poll for that.

    Appreciated.
Thanks for starting the techtree contest.
I feel like it would have never started without you.
