  • Say.. would an awesome model like Venator, and that other ship, need war3-stuff like origin, overhead, weapon, and such attachments? oO because it really behaves great ingame, sans that :p just wanting to see if that's a good thing to add in.

    EDIT: Actually i tested it right after download, ingame, so i didn't really check how many attachment points it has.. but is it missing any? because i didn't see any origin-based effects like a thunderclap sfx, nor weapon-like effect like an orb

    Hey, a while back you sent me an awesome grass model but I lost it due to several reasons. Do you, by any chance, still have it?
    I use a combination of Magos' Model Editor, Mdlvis, and Gimp 2 for textures.

    The reason I don't really use 3ds max is because I can't wrap my head around the thing, I load it up and that's where my head just stops. I don't know how to create/link vertexes on it in the slightest.
    I've a question for ye, good sir.

    For the last two models that I've uploaded, when I update them their skin breaks (in-game it'll appear as a jumbled mess or just a white mesh) and it happens during the upload.

    Has this ever happened to you, and if so what did you do to work around the giant phallic middle finger of buggery?

    Small question - In the screenshot of your dwarven archway, what skin did you use for the boulders?

    I ask for I'm making an Ettenmoors map (based on the Lotr online region) and 'twould be perfect for the coldfells region.

    I love so much all your models, would like to know how are you doing them, would you like to teach me ? mabe create some thread ? I'd like to create models for my LOTR project... Don't want use wc3 models, but real lotr like your's sindarin elves and uruk hai ! Thank you what ever will be your answer ! You have done already so much for my project!

    I looked threads about model making. Is it necessary to have 3dsmax or it ok with Gmax ?
    Fingo! Are you still working on my request? You don't need to, since that project is in pending state right now :grin:
    It's been a long time, but if I remember correctly, setting the turn rate to 0.10 or below will force a unit to face the target before it can move and attack.
    As for the aircraft flight pattern, it is controlled and managed through a script.
    It worked like a charm, I've successfully installed it as well as wc3 art tools, now I just need to figure out how to use it! :D

    Another small thing, do you know of anything that can open .lbr files or .lqr? I ask for a long (long, long, long) time ago in a galaxy far far away I zipped some files ye-olde style.

    But now I've switched computers (got the file on a thumb-drive) the tech used to zip it doesn't seem to be around anymore, much like 3ds max 5. Would you happen to know of a program that can do so?

    Might I ask where to find 3ds max 5? It seems it is as rare as thunder-gnads these days.
    Sounds reasonable enough. I really need to make an alternative archer animation set, as my model bugs out when hunched over and behaving all sneaky-like.
    I've a question for you, good sir dude. What do you use to animate your models, for I need'st to adjust one of mine accordingly, whot!
    However there is very little info. It will be a classic rts, seems like empire earth, from stone age to modern age.

    Hey, quick question. Do you have any stone path tiles hidden away?
    it's just that I did imagine this thing made out of tree logs.. any alternative log that is not.. garish?
    so changing the ashenvale texture will make it go well together?

    and which are those downfacing polygons? and are they on both models?

    EDIT, which tree texture would fit better?
    hm.. not too sure what's the issue you pointed out on the totem hydra models oO are two tree-trunk textures a bad thing?
    Hey, Fingo! Howdy?

    May I request you another help? I need this model to have vertically rotating/spinning/rolling animation named "stand". I have edited that model (lowering it's position, removing all sound effects, and deleting birth animation). The original verison is here. I will use it for my spell. :)

    I'm still waiting for author's permission though. But don't worry, I will just publish it when I have the permission ;)
