  • Well, that's the thing. This screenshot was taken of a project of mine way before I started on Diablo: The Fallen Angel project. I'm pretty sure I downloaded it from somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Any idea who else could have made it?
    Hey buddy,

Can't remember if you made this "Butcher" model shown in this old screenshot? If you did, would you mind releasing it or share it with me in a PM? If you didn't, do you know who made it?

hello, do you know this scenario

i opened an .mdx model in mdlvis,
    tried to rotate its arm,
and i notice the vertices connecting the arm to the body moves just slighty,
and as you rotate the arm 360 degrees, those vertices seems to be closing (i mean those vertices moves closely to each other until they hit each other)..

    is that vertex weights???
do you know how to put vertex weights on an .mdl manually??
or if you know a tutorial or thread pls make me know where it is.. :)
Fellow modeler! It's been a while since the last one, but the next modeling contest is finally on its way. Help us determine the theme for the 27th Hive Workshop Modeling Contest!

I was, then you reminded me you exist.

    were you being ironic there?
Good lord, man, I have no idea how you can 'debate' with that zealot.

He's infuriating. I wanted to smack him when he was all "You hate me so you're a jew!". I like to think of myself as a rather intelligent person, and that level of stupidity is just... offensive.

Zakon su ti modeli, svaka cast :)
actually i exported a .mdx file from a custom campaign "Zuka", i tried to animate it in mdlvis, and its obvious that it has a vertex weights, because whenever i tried to rotate one of its arms, one of its vertices seems to just move slightly while others really move..
i dont know if its really because of vertex weight but thats what i saw in that model.

another thing i did is i imported that .mdx file to ms3d and put a joint to the same location of that bone(i did this because when you import a model to ms3d, the bones were not imported), and assign same vertices.. then animate it, there is a big difference with the animation..
so i suspect it its really because of vertex weight, but i dont know how that modeler of that model did that magic..

another, i noticed that when rotating that .mdx model in mdlvis, a controller type appears in the middle of the pane, (the linear, bezier, hermite... ones), but when i converted .ms3d model with bones to mdx then animate it with mdlvis, that controller type wont appear..
do you know how to export ms3d model with vertex weights to war3 models??... i tried but it doesnst seem to include its vertex weights..
do you know how do some different models here in hive have identical or same animations??
    Heey HappyTauren, how are you?
About this icon, could you create a Score Screen icon for it? or allow me to ask somebody to do it?
    Thanks in advance!
