    This is very important, and please don't laugh but I didn't know about it. Could not imagine such a small checkbox could be missed and cause 3 people to reinstall sc 3 times. Always have this checked before you export otherwise your models will turn out purple on other people's PCs and put all textures in the "Assets\Textures" folder.

    Yea, it is chaotic and strange, coming as a newly graduated and seeing how the market works is both an interesting, yet oddly absurd situation. As for my fields, the primary would be a game company. I had established one with some other people, but given that our first project was way too ambitious it fell through. So Game creation, design (UX among them) and graphics would be the general areas, though I guess some development is not out of the question as well. What will you be looking for then when you finish? Or perhaps, more exact what is your dream job?
    Finished university myself, so currently freelance/job hunting :smile: A very different situation from studies and yet oddly similar.

    I'd be giving you some lessons but It's kinda late today. First tell me your PC specs video card, processor ram etc.

    You heard me right, disabling the "terrain"! You should make some tests and start reading forums about this stuff.
    The leaves couldn't be exported.

    You switched quite fast. What Are you using the m3 script or sc2 art tools? The m3 script might be the only solution you got for max 2014, The art tools only work with max 2011 (Yeah I know that is stupid) but you can do stuff at a pro level that the m3 script is not capable of and never will be. You got a lot to learn, you will probably have to study about modeling and materials on sc2 alot to get a better understanding of the engine.

    Optimization, texture exporting, collision shapes, shadows, etc, I can teach you about all of that. Btw there is a physics engine in sc2, you can do that with no sweat.

    I think you will love the cutscene editor alot, making cinematics is at another level completely, didn't get to try it ou actually.
    I didn't notice your demotion, looks like enjoy is the only Admin left for the pack. :sad:
    Watched the video. I can see why you want that Tower environment model in, I would really like to have that model for myself.

    Btw did you get neodex yet? I can teach you the shadow mapping trick but requires lots of work.
    While I think there is no problem with a large number of hq models in the wc3 environment it seems that a single model is limited to vertex count I'll split them up and hope it works, the vertices might still be too many. Don't worry not all models have this problem.

    By the way I do not recommend that grass in anything more than terraining.
    I'll figure something out till then I'll try the other ones. This is what you get from the limited wc3 you can't really go to high in vertex count.
    Great moel choice I might use some of these as well. To bad they have this normal maps with wc3 does not support.
    My internet is bad, really bad! You are lucky though, I am going to that friend to dl the models, have patience. I am bad with the free time as well.
    A few 100 mb is too much for my net, I'll go to a friend or something to dl it. if you can give me the links instead that would be better, if not you'll have to wait a little longer till I visit him to take it.
