  • Hey mate, I've been admiring your work with special effects for quite some time. You caught my attention when you said that particles can actually go from outside towards the center of the model :) Could you please make a simple model for me to understand how is that possible? :D
    D
Just checked in on the Crystal model comments. You're getting very popular :D Gratz, you deserve a lot more.
    D
I'm actually re-working it currently. I'll have the page with the screenies by the end of the month :)
    D
Okay, everything works perfectly now. Thanks a lot mate.
    D
Oooooh, So I have to import it 2 times?
    D
Okay, I almost fixed everything via paths. Just 2 things left. The stairs use "Wall1.blp" not "Textures\Wall1,blp". Also, the tower doesn't seem to work.
    D
Well, that's actually their responsibility too. They have to serve as a sort of role models, give us an idea how we should behave.
    D
haha, I know what you mean. The new generation of teachers is just not what you'd expect.
    D
Of course, you needn't even ask. Please don't feel embarrassed. Considering how slow I work, You can take your time till the end of the month if needed. I'll aim for project of the month August since I can't start the thread yet xD.

Please remind me, have I sent the textures for a model called "turm"(tower) ?

EDIT: Sent you the stairs model, just make a duplicate of the wall texture and wrap it on that, no need for new edits.

Thank you mate, I'm very inspired to terrain winter style thanks to Marh's Terrain. Before you ask, I tried to get him to send me the textures(several times) but he refused.

Just an update from this side :) The town so far is going well and I'm pretty content with it's look. Also, here are a couple of names that also reference you - "Ugoshi", "U'goza". Finally, as soon as the wall texture is finished, please send it, ahead of the others as It will help prevent some infrastructural issues i might face later on but please don't feel pressured, take as much time as you need. You know how the saying goes, rushed work is shame for the master artisan :).
    D
No worry, Like I said, send them one by one, It will be easier for me and you.

Question, take 2: The texture path will be the same right?
    D
Hey, just a question. I can place the models I'm working with and when you're done I'll just replace the textures right?
    D
Like I said, don't worry if you can't. I won't be chopping off balls with a battleaxe xD. It would be better if you could start with the walls and send them one by one so that I can begin to meander around some of the designs.
    D
Give it a shot, you might come up with something cool. And, sure but you might want to consult Ralle before uploading to the Hive since the original author kinda' prohibited that.

EDIT: I think there is a loophole though. If It's uploaded as part of a resource pack along my project, it shouldn't cause trouble. I think the rule only applies to the model section.
    D
It'd be fantastic if you could do that. I owe you a big favor, thanks man. Want to name the town they will be used for? It's the capital of the eagle duchy.
    D
    Yeah. . . I don't like ignoring them xD

EDIT: I'm gonna attempt to start my project's thread within two weeks and I just want to ask should I wait for the textures before or after the release of the thread. Again, not pushing you, just asking.
    D
Lol, I've been thinking of trying Skyrim but kinda doubt I'll get round to finishing such a long game xD
