Depends on the job I'm offered, I kind of make up my own sallary.
My customers can choose to pay by hour sallary or by finished product
(usually the latter is chosen by customers)
For example, if someone wants me to create a simple portfolio website I could charge $100 (this can vary to whatever seems comfortable) depending on the functionalities and estimated time for the project.
Ofcourse the more functionality a website has and the more work it costs me the higher my price will be.
In that sense I'm very flexible in negotiations.
I do however require my customers to pay for the server costs and domain name costs. I will not pay for their website to be online.
I do offer support with the webhost or server my customer wants to work/pay for.
Deadlines can be setup, documentation can be created for the project.
I'm open for discussion on what my customers need and try to adept myself to their situation.
It can go from official contracts to less official side-jobs. Whatever seems comfortable to the both of us.

I'm kind of new to the business world so I'm starting off easy and slow.
I do have a lot of people asking me to create a website for them though, which does leave me a bit stressed due to the amount of work I'm pushing myself into.
