I do like it. however I have to be the picky me and mention that It'd be nice if it would get a fair amount of static on it when "there are problems with the signal" or however I'm supposed to describe it. Otherwise I'm completely satisfied by your efforts.

I guess the saturation of everything but eyes can be toned a bit down, if it'l look better that way. But it's not necessary.

Allright there, I thought I'd leave it .png so it has an alpha background, thought it'd be easier to work on that.

Listen, Reddie. When I find the time to make my Remilia avatar and me being a poop with animations,
I was wondering if you could add a slight video grain effect to it (That's the easy part really)
and also I was wondering if it'd be possible to make it you know.. Uh.. Do a.. Ripple.. Thing? I don't know what to call it, you know.. Having slight problems in connection like the picture almost disappearing.. What happens with.. Eh.. Atleast Star Wars holograms, hah. It's horrible to explain this.

I came up with a cool idea for my avatar "post new-year edit" hehe but i don't stand a chance in making it myself, atleast not any good

The idea was to use the original image

And make it look like he's inhaling so the smoke gradually goes down(pretty quickly though) and u see the joint burn up aswell(the glow on the tip should get gradually brighter, atleast for start, when the smoke is completely gone the glow should be at it's strongest, the joint still has to go though it would ofc burn alot slower and therefor disapear slower than the smoke) hehe

Thats like the basic avatar(would love to get a copy of it just like this aswell), the effect i feel could be fitting to him now after new year would be fireworks bursting out of the joint when it reaches his mouth and confetti start raining down around him together with like a ribbon that usually is around the christmas tree representing snow, but often ends up around someones neck at new year parties^^
Could be cool to replace the text underneath with something aswell so if u want to do that go ahead ;)

If you don't wanna make the new years eve version i would love it if you'd make that first basic one, and the best would be if you could add a much bigger smile on him after the joint is gone, and like bulbs in his cheeks and then smoke that gradually fills the whole image^^
Get back to me if ur interested in taking on this thing hehe i feel it would look pretty damn cool, hope you agree :D

As for your recollection, close! At first I did have a problem, but some time afterwards I was one of the helpers who made the loading screens people requested. Minimap previews as well, and I took a few other requests. I was simply offering my services once more should they be required

uh... all the Gundam manga and novels are given, Mushishi is seriously awesome, Tengen Toppen Gurren Lagann is delicious, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (in order: Onikakushi, Watanagashi, Tatarigoroshi, Himatsubushi, Meakashi, Tsumihoroboshi, Minagoroshi, Matsuribayashi), Eureka Seven is pretty good, and Bersek is nice and dark even though it is probably one of the longest running mangas ever.

the animes are also worth a try, especially Mushishi
