only few of the humans are able to see the truth behind the curtain.
For others it's hard to understand the things they don't know yet.
And as long as they don't get more information about the subject, they can't understand it.
But also they wont spend more time with it without knowing it's true.
So it's impossible to teach those who are blind.

What I am trying to say is:
If your friend shares a lot of points with my view he is a unique guy and smart as fuck.
You can learn a lot from him.
