Oh well, I guess I have forgotten to point out that I'd like to start as soon as possible, if that's okay with you.
It is my personal point of view that Hive lacks (active) 2d artists, and one approach could be to host more contests. The last skinning contest was held in april last year...

Well, the spell is pretty much ready. The only thing that remains is the hashtable and some comments. I'll update it really soon!

Yea, i know that MUI is Multi Unit Instanceable. I was asking if there is something like MUTI..
Perhaps a hashtable for the configurables would do the job. Also, will my spell get approved if the timed event can not be changed? I mean, if the timed event is changed, almost all of the variables must be changed.
The spell is a charge spell and if the user wants the caster to move faster, he simply increases his speed (which is in a configurable variable). I mean, does it need a configurable timed event if it's absolutely pointless? I have seen many spells with a static event and they are greatly approved. Besides there are tons of configurables (about 30). Everything is really flexible. If i have to remake the spell just for that, i better start the upgrade all over again..

Hey! I don't know if i'm asking the right person but.. to get a spell approved, it has to be multi unit-type instanceable and multi unit instanceable, right?
I am updating my spell but it's currently only MUI. It can be casted only by one unit-type for now and i am wondering if i should make the configurables with hashtables and make it also MU-TI, aside of MUI.

I assume it's best for you to decide this yourself. Skinning's simply creating textures for models. As I said, I never created any textures for 3-dimensional models myself.
Textures I did create were always used for 2-dimensional models (IID and the like).
I do understand how textures for 3-dimensional models work, and their requirements (light source, alpha-texturing, and the usual).

Interesting, so in order to be able to judge the respective area, you have to have created respective resources aswell?
So far, I have not created any skins for 3D models. Not that I couldn't, but I decide not to (working with wraps is too tiresome).
I do understand skin texture requirments, though.

2D Art, obviously. This includes: skins, icons, eventually concept art.
