  • I am still so happy that she didn't found out the bands i listen too or what exactly is corpse paint...and other metal things as i have the feeling that if she does...i will have metal banned from my life :(
It's a good thing that my dad was a punker...he also introduced me to the metal industry by telling me about Rammstein and other bands and Marilyn Manson which is a Scene Rock singer if i am right, but still...
Well that actually was my agreement as she always wanted to cut my hair and she now has the chance
And i dunno, she hates guys with long hair and she says that metalheads are drug maniacs, idiots with no education and so on...telling that only hobos and junkers have that kind of long hair -.-
I am having daily argues with her about this kind of subjects as i don't really want to cut my hair short and i would like to grow it something like Brad Pitt had in Interview with the Vampire...
Can't wait for 1st december...As there will be a Gorgoroth and Vader concert here in my town...Too bad my mom will only let me go if i cut my hair :(
Not really...as i always liked that song...I liked it even before of being a metal head as i first heard it when i was obsessed of playing Dino Crisis 2 and i saw a gameplay on the internet with that song in it :D
What a coincidence...That the first trance metal song i heard when i checked that website :)))
Well i guess it's some kind of brain washing dictature similar to pop music xD
btw, i listened to Kreator, and i must say you were right...I like them
I tried their song ,,Enemy of God" and i must say i enjoyed it from the beggining to the end
Also, dunno why but vocally it reminds me of Exodus, and the solo from enemy of god reminds me of the song downfall by them
Punks remind me of the germanic and briton tribes from the roman empire times :D
Oh and Black Metal would be an organization of pagan druids :)) and the first, and second wave would be the wave of missionaries which spread their beliefs :))))
Garage metal would be like Africa, the continent were humans are believed to be originated from
Well, there are some exceptions to the gipsies i mentioned...but i also hate gipsies so.... :D

and lol...imagine a world with countries like that world map...DEATH METALISTS!!!Today...we open the gates of Hell as we assault the punkish shore!Onward to VICTORY!!! XD
Yes gipsies are a very big problem in romania...I know i may sound racist but i just wish that they will all get burnt and we shall use their ashes as soil fertilizer...
They are uneducated bastards who know nothing else than stealing and being total shits...and most of them don't even know what soap means

They also make a bad reputation for romanians as they go to other countries and devote their lives to begging, stealing, prostitution and they call themselves romanians...not gipsies...so yeah we got a lot of problems with them

And to answer your other questions, I didn't knew about that metal map website yet it seems pretty interesting...Is the map from the homepage purely fictional or it represents the continents or countries where all the genres started?
And about the bands i will surely be going to check them soon :p
Hey,did you knew about www.songsterr.com?It is basically a website which stores tabs for almost every song for guitar, bass, piano and drums and i thought of letting you check it out :P
It is so convenient in my opinion as it gives you a fast way to learn songs you would want to do covers of
Well, their lyrical theme is about the life of a romanian citizen...the bad part of it's life...corrupt government...the huge mass of gypsies, stupidity, ignorance and so on...
And the first song, was made, like a mainstream song, for moshing :D they said that

Here is another if you don't mind :P
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GL4MAsCMm-M

Btw, can you suggest some trash metal bands?I am not really into that genre and i would like to know some good bands, other than slayer, pantera and megadeth....
Oh well, i think i pay most attention to drums cuz i am a drummer and i hope that one i will be able to execute blastbeasts and solos that will cause people's balls to rupture muahahah
But anyway, every instrument matters in a band so they can create harmony between each other...What would be if the guitarist sucks but the drummer is the best in the world?I would vote for mediocre singers but which can create harmony than a band which has only 1 favorized player

Also, my drum teacher says that the drummer must follow the band, and he is like a ,,slave" methaphorically speaking as he must set the tempo and everything to the band's needs...Considering he is a jazz singer
In a metal i think the drumner is like the heart of the band, like every other player, and neither of them must follow anybody because if they are good, they will create that unison, that harmony...
Hmmm...When i listen to death metal i go for the drums...I love the drum technique and playing used in most of the Death Metal bands
Have Fleshgod Apocalypse for example :D
Here i agree with you, i am no church guy either...Still there are some good black metal bands in my opinion like Immortal or so, but still there aren't more of them
Death metal is the best in my opinion :D
well, in my opinion...That open satanism and let's go burn churches stuff kinda ruins the genre...altough i admit the instrumental is great...but sometimes the vocals are awful in my opinion(burzum for example) as i can't stand those kind of screams
Hmmn they seem very interesting :D
I think i will dig in deeply trough some more of their songs
lol nope, I hate it :p Fenix TX really is a band who, imo, just used all the shit that had been made before in punk to make some poppy music. Sum 41 was different, for one it marked me in my earlier years, I grew up with them (you can consider this bias). Then, they were always trying something new I think, no matter what people say, Whibley had one of the more punk-ish voice of the wave, helped me get into the other bands. There's actually some passion aswell in their music, unlike, I feel, Fenix TX.
That's really not cool, bro. How can you even say something like that? He's my best friend.
holy crap, I had never noticed your other reply :p In any cases, Rancid isn't really 'ska punk' per say, they're a punk band who sometimes experience with ska, like in Time Bomb and Old Friend ('real' ska has ska instruments most of the time, or it's said of a band playing only this kind of punk, here they only play ska rythms with guitars/bass, although nvm, after all it would be alright to consider this song ska punk (but the Rancid isn't ska punk :D)). Some 'real' good ska punk bands/songs you should check out, somehow the ska punk pioneers and Rancid's Tim Armstrong's first band: Operation Ivy (check the songs Bad Town and Sound System). Other classics are Less Than Jake's All My Best Friend Are Metalheads and History of a Boring Town, The Suicide Machines' Vans Song, Streetlight Manifesto's Down Down Down to Mephisto's Cafe and The Receiving End of It All, Goldfinger's Superman and a somehow favorite of mine, Morning Glory's Gimme Heroin.
Their influences sound alright, but I wouldn't classify them as punk rock (or ska punk in this case) :p Not bad but not my kind of stuff lulz
Oh ok, well yes, I agree about that part with the computer. It always was some private shit, but now it's retarded with social networks, it's like, being alone so you can have social relationships.. Retarded. People don't even wish happy birthday to each other anymore, they do it via facebook; just talking on the phone seems like too much contact for our youth. And yes, some kids do really like Justin Bieber, but it's mostly the part about autotune and shitty music, that's all I hear on the radio. And well, 9/11 is just general fear and hate towards everyone, as much as the 90's were carefree with good economy, now it's all about war, protection and hate of what we don't understand.
They take everything that was good in society to fuck it up, it's only 2011 and we pretty much have nothing left, I don't have great hopes for the future.. Anyway sorry for the long post, I just take this subject pretty seriously :D
Shit is, internet was one of the cool thing in the 21st century until like 2008, Youtube was still an amazing media source, there was kind of this internet meme/phenomenon subculture, spawning great stuff like rickrolls and shit + you had MSN Messenger, great shit, letting you speak with all of your friends, but also with people from all around the world under a nickname. Now even that managed to get fucked somehow, all the stupid kids switching to text messaging and facebook, Youtube changing all the time and implementing copyright bullshit and finally, the mainstream discovering memes, just finding out about years old memes like 'lama' or The Game and thinking they are so hip for knowing about it. I hate this generation/time lol, I mean, proof, being part of anything non-mainstream could now be considered 'hipster', and 'hipster' is like one of the most mainstream shit ever now :p
Haha I remember how back then, it took the average kid about 2 summers to know how to ollie :p That kinda tells you how hard it is, even though when you really are into it and don't mind breaking yourself, you could do great in a few years! But yeah, 21st century sucks big time, not much because of the internet, as most of it is real useful (you don't need dictionnaries, you can ask any question, find any music/film, etc), but mostly the culture, since I'm in Canada, alot of the shit happening in the US affect us, so we got the 'fear' of 9/11, the shitty music that went from 90's punk, grunge and alternative to Justin Bieber, boy bands and autotune only a decade, all the superficiality and the shitty trends, douchebag-ism. Kids growing spoiled, having a cellphone at 5 years old and stupid shit like that, when they grow older, 'being cool' isn't when you can do cool shit like skateboarding or play music, 'being cool' is having parents with enough money to buy you fake tan and steroids.

lol, skateboarding is hard, I tell you :p I think the only reason I've never REALLY skated is because I'm a damn 90's kid, when I got my first skate in the late 90's, most people here were growing older and stopped skateboarding. Then, it was society's downfall as we know it lol
Haha I feel you, I often need at least 100+ new songs per month to be good :p Anyway, if you like power metal, do you know of Running Wild? If you don't, I suggest checking 'Evilution' and 'Bad To The Bone' out, they're my fav power metal band ever :) As for The Decline, I suggest Conjunctivis, 'Oh, Fuck!', I killed the trend scene, and 'You Died... Losing 16 experience points'
For Millencolin: Mr Clean, Dr Jackal & Mr Hide, Buzzer, Jellygoose and Vulcan Ears.

Finally, for Rancid: The Ballad of Jimmy and Johnny, Ghettobox, Ruby Soho, As Wicked, Junkie Man. If you want a song a little different by them, Fall Back Down.
Alright, so here's my top 5 or so favorite songs by these bands.

Descendents: Pretty much the 8 last songs of Milo Goes to College are 5/5s, Catalina, Suburban Home, Statue of Liberty, Marriage, Kabuki Girl, Bikeage, Jean Is Dead and, of course, Hope. For some of their still kickass but more melodic songs, Silly Girl, Can't Go Back and Good Good Things. For their more recent stuff, try 'Merican and I'm the One (fuck, I love Descendents :D).

Frenzal Rhomb: Mum Changed The Locks, Ship of Beers, You Can't Move Into My House and Parasite (this song is so psychedelic lol).

Sadly, I don't know much about Fugazi besides Turnover and Repeater, I'm new to them aswell :3

Lagwagon: hell, I could say check out the entire Hoss, Thrashed and Let's Talk About Feelings albums, but more precisely, Move The Car, Sleep, Sick, Train, After You My Friend, Change Despair, Love Story (probably my fav, I listened to it so much when I was younger), Know It All and Rust.
Does that mean you want some The Decline songs aswell? :p
I'll make you a cool list when I get home, it's always good to convert ppl ;)
