    GolluM_KoMe! Long time no see. I'm doing well. Yeah. I really want to finish it. So I'm trying to find ways to motivate myself and I think that using the map development thread to post my progress and get feedback and generate interest is a great way of doing that. How have you been? What are you up to these days? What games are you playing?
    I'm okay. How are you? Well, I haven't really been working on it, but I want to finish it before 1/1/12 because it's my New Year's Resolution to do so. :)
    Same goes to you! Beside if you really are interested in Game design, I would gladly like to add you on msn so we could talk about each others projects and to have some creative exchange that would make both of us go forward in our personal projects.

    Second = WOW! I'm not that interested of getting into Game creating right now, beside Goblin's Tale's concepts and illustration are far from being close to complete. BUT I do Keep that link in mind... maybe someday I'll start making a real game for it :D and I'll make sure to tell you when it happens (if we are both still on the hiveworkshop of course)

    I'm really impressed with your productivity. Were you always this fast, or does it just get easier the more you do?

    What did you try to change for the milk bug? To me the bug is that it seems to stop producing milk if you get too many units or something, but it's not consistent.

    Yay that's awesome about the elven hero. I haven't seen many of the elite units because I always go elves/orcs, but I want to start refusing the deal now to see what's available. I've only seen one of the 3rd elite units.

    I started before, but I haven't started working on it again yet. I did put quite a bit of time into it already. (I'm sure that you would have finished a lot more in the same amount of time.) I did work a little bit on a description post for a thread about the map. ... I'm procrastinating. I'm trying to motivate myself to work on it, though. =)

    xD You should write ALL your ideas in a to do list. It helped me a lot, even if I didn't really need this to motivate myself. I wanted this map so hard that I couldn't sleep at night last year xD. When the idea reached my mind, my university year was OVER xD.
    Btw I just made a single player test: the map's more more fun to play :) but this f%$*ing milk keeps bugging (in Ardumir at least). + I got my third hero while refusing elven proposal !! xD

    If you do download it, let me know. I can help you with setting it up. There is a youtube video that teaches you how to do it, but there was 1 thing he left out, and with the new patch there was a setting I had to change. What's cool about this program is it makes it easier for people to join your games (I think it helps you compete with the bots), you can host on multiple realms, and you could even have it autohosting games for you while you're not using your computer (although I don't know if internet usage and cost would become issues in France). That might help spread your map. I was going to do that for my map.

    Ah btw I thought about what u told me about the factions' strength; they could have stats in the leaderboard:
    -Number of Inhabitants
    -Wealth (which is based on the amount of resources sold in their trading place)
    Then their attacks would be based on these 2 datas:
    For each of these :MeleeFootSoldiers, Cavalry, Archers, Siege Weapons These would set the units:
    -Number of unit : x+y*population/60
    -Kind of unit : based on the wealth

    PS: i can't find why the game crashes with my new triggers in 2.8 .... (a dummy lumberjack cut down a tree, then gather it (when the tree is in the ground) and then he bring back wood to the lumbermill and choose an other tree randomly etc etc etc) AND IT FUCKING CRASHES (but not all the time .....)

    I'm very interested in languages. In high school, I studied 4 years of Russian and 1 year of Japanese. At university, I studied 3 years of Japanese and 1 year of Chinese. I wish I was half as fluent as you are at English. Do you speak other languages too?

    Impressive :) I studied 3 year latin, 5 years spanish, 3 years italian and 1 year chinese... but I suck xD I never truely worked these laguages ...
    Well terrain, not like trrigeting or data editing, requires more practice than knowledge... I am kinda like busy now but I'll get a map to pastebin for you to look, but later.
    You know, in these types on maps terrains are kinda immportant, though you could just like make a basic terrain outline first (Cliffs, some basic doodads, that's it) and immprove the terrain later.
    Oh, by the way, how are your terraining skills? If you'd like I could give you the terrain of the Lord of Zintalia, since it's pretty much scrapped now.
    The terrain is not my best, I actually more concentrated on recreating more traditional warcraft 3 terraining style. My map is not meant for air units and it's more RPGish, but if you would need the terrain I would gladly give it to you... though not sure if I'm scrapping my project forever...
    Yea, there are some good ones. Both made by Blizzard themselves (Left2Die, StarBejeweld) and by users (Lots of them, I ussually play The Card Game and Cortex Roleplay, by the way, I made two terrains for Cortex maps :D). There were few Lotr maps (One really lame and leaky, other one pretty nice) and I also revall one builer-type map with Protoss templars and zealots as warriors and Ultralisks as horses... SC2 allows you to attach any model in any way, so you can just take a dead tree and give it to unit as a mace. And no, Warcraft 3 units are too outdated, becasue of different animation systems and overall outdatedness of WC3 the WC3 models in Starcraft 2 wouldn't move and would look terrible.
    I myself kinda liike not going to retire from WC3 modding myself... though I'll mostly give feedback instead of modding myself.

    Starcraft 2 editor is much more advanced that Warcraft 3, terrain editor is better, same for trriger editor, data editor is much more advanced but it's so difficult you'll scream when you see it first time. But you can learn to use it, and you can do lots of cool things with it...
    Btw, you should write on other people's profiles when talking to them :)

    That's kind aawesome that you, I and Gollum have similar thoughts about modding and game-making. I myself, as stated on LoME, had a similar RPG idea, only with Titan's Land elements, too (But balanced, not like with original TL where one player could destroy any player at any time). Now, I'll support your project just like I did with Gollum's (Though I kinda retired from warcraft 3 modding, SC2 is what I work with currently). You should make a thread on Project development thread, and if you'll need a social group created for Project team here on HIve, I'll be able to help you.
    I opened it up and looked around a little over the holidays. Now that the holidays are over, I should have some time to spend on it. I can't commit tons of time to it because I would like to finish my map, but I would like to fix some of the bugs and make it more playable. Then I would like to play it again. =) Who knows, though. It's much easier to add a few things to someone else's project than to complete one on your own. :)
    Hey buddy did you find something in that bad created map!
    As you can see I tried to optimize it but it still need a lot of work!

    I hope you will fix that creep respawn triggers and improve map!
