    I started before, but I haven't started working on it again yet. I did put quite a bit of time into it already. (I'm sure that you would have finished a lot more in the same amount of time.) I did work a little bit on a description post for a thread about the map. ... I'm procrastinating. I'm trying to motivate myself to work on it, though. =)

    players don't really read the messages .... + If we upgrade it for them, next time they'll play (let's say without the help), they won't know what to do :(

    Well, I think it might work because the player will have prompted this message, so they might be ready to see it. Ultimately, I guess you can only do so much to help a player. :)
    An ambitious idea to improve the tutorial: have it build some stuff for the player (like resource buildings and housing) explaining each step to the player. Afterwards, tell them what to do next. Include stuff like how to upgrade resource buildings (It would be really good if you could use the upgrade button while they're still producing. I don't know if that's possible), how to upgrade their town, and what to build next. Add more tips which remind the player when they can do something new (Like right after they upgrade to level 3, remind the player that if they ally a faction they'll get more income. Let them know they can do it from the town building.). When players are attacked, tell them about possible defenses (including using garrison from your town building).

    I'm sure you don't really need ideas. You probably have tons. Your map is already awesome.
    You already fixed the bugs I mentioned in the map resource (main) thread? That was a lot of bugs! That was fast! I spent hours investigating the milking bug, and couln't figure out what was wrong. You're very fast. It usually takes me a long time just to write you. =)
    Oh 1 thing about Ghost: I use a 2nd set of cd keys to run it. There is a way to do it using your main account to both play and host (called an Admin game), but I don't know much about it. I haven't tried using it that way yet, but I might be able to help you figure it out.

    If you do download it, let me know. I can help you with setting it up. There is a youtube video that teaches you how to do it, but there was 1 thing he left out, and with the new patch there was a setting I had to change. What's cool about this program is it makes it easier for people to join your games (I think it helps you compete with the bots), you can host on multiple realms, and you could even have it autohosting games for you while you're not using your computer (although I don't know if internet usage and cost would become issues in France). That might help spread your map. I was going to do that for my map.

    The faction idea sounds interesting. Doesn't a UI add a lot more to the filesize? BTW do you protect your map with Vexorians optimizer thing? I think that reduces the filesize doesn't it?
    I could try. :) When you host do you usually use some website like that one you linked to me for the Warlords map? I usually use ghost. That way I can host on multiple realms, and it's much more successful than hosting normally. When I do that almost no one joins.
    I'm from Portland, Oregon. It's on the west coast of the United States between Washington to the north and California to the south. Portland is sometimes the setting for movies (such as Zero Effect and The Hunted). :)

    France is beautiful, right? Since you studied Spanish, have you ever been to Spain? I heard it's beautiful too. Do you have a girlfriend?

    I'm American. You seem fluent to me. You seem to understand everything and make few errors. The most noticeable one in the map is "war to" it should be "war on" like "GolluM_KoMe declares war on Gondor".

    I'm very interested in languages. In high school, I studied 4 years of Russian and 1 year of Japanese. At university, I studied 3 years of Japanese and 1 year of Chinese. I wish I was half as fluent as you are at English. Do you speak other languages too?

    I always chose languages that seemed more exotic instead of the common ones most Americans study (Spanish, French, and German are common language classes at American schools). Now, I wish I had studied some Spanish. I could use that a lot. :) Still, I love Japanese. I'll go to Japan someday. Chinese was very interesting too. Learning to read and write those two languages is very difficult, but speaking and grammar seems easier than other languages.
    This what I wrote when I was working a little bit on the description for my map:

    Well yes those are great. Esspecially coparing to that bread/vine condition...
    Okay just checked changelog... well, all of them are good except for the wood/wine one, which is kinda... irrational since it has nothing to do with victory. You could better try some other conditions, like shall we say first who gets maximal level hero wins...
    Sorry, haven't played any Warcraft map for quite a time... currently I mostly play Starcraft 2, see...
    So I can't tell exactly how it works... well of course you can explain me and I'm pretty sure I can understand it.
    Oh right now I remember. Yes, extra cash for early game is a good idea, I see nothing bad in it.

    That map has your picture because of Hive bug Lots of maps had it some time ago... No worries, this can be fixed. I remember this happened to lots of popular maps after update.. and the effect was quite random... nobody managed to fix the bug it seems...
    Oh god, how could I foget about that! You just changed the defence and attack variables! Well, thanks anyway. Won't use in my map but still I might change attack variables... possibly...
    Well then the trade system should be simplified too in some way... you know, like all gathered resources are automatically sold... and everything is cheaper and is build/trained faster...
    So how are you gonna call this one?

    Oh, and about that... well nevermind, those things that worked for you possibly won't work for me since Town Halls are already used, I tough that auren can be used for this but oh well... but no worries, this system was not neceseary for my map, I can make cavalry just more stronger unit with higher movement speed and lower hp but quite high damage...
    Yes, but this wil increase the lenghth of game forso long nobody will want it play it on multiplayer, so it would need to become some less city-centered and would be more about battles and should become more dinamic. But that would mean you'll have to change the whole game a lot and would kill most immportant part of LoME - city building. So I recommend making LoME more about city buildings, and another map with another name more about warfare between the main factions with more simple city building and more dinamic gameplay.

    Oh, and I want to ask you, how did you made that cavalry and some other units would recive extra damage from spearman on your map?
    This looks theoretically really intresting. Of course this would require some changes, like shall we say from begining of LoME you would already be part of one of sides that you served to eariler. And hey, so you could like firstly choose city you cae from and hero, then for serving your masters you become a lord of that town... intresting idea... but this should be a new map I think, LoME is already takes too long. You could call it "War of Middle Earth" or "LoME II" at least... but I really doubt about remaking LoME itself by adding extra battles. Oh, so if you're actually gonna make a second part of BoME, you should simplify the city part and make it more concentrate on warfare, you know, kinda like similar game, only more dinamic and gameplay priorities changed... that would be intresting...
    I should thank you again for practically giving me the materials to do a map based on a map i love and find incomplete (as it is, incomplete) if you still have aok (aoc i think is the requirement) you can download the map and the mod it requires, give us a shout if you want the said link :D
