  • working on it, sorry it was just a damn busy week.

    I have no idea, I was always tired, and everyday I used to sleep over 12 hours.
    anyway, will work on them tomorow.
    sure they can submit unlimited amount of concept, but in the end only 1 would be accepted.

    assume i make 15 hero concept of you, but in the end only 1 would be accepted.

    we can surely make 3 concept of you, if none of the 3 good enough. we can scrap off and restart!! but if there is 1 out of 3 is good, we can do it right away without wasting time in making more and more unnecessary concept where the time could be put into better use.
    OK, some people want a hero and an item named after them. I think that is not good. It is just not fair to some users.
    If you are lucky enough to get a hero after you, I think that you shouldn't get an item, and that that item should be named after some other member who did not get a hero.
    What do you think?
    of course, i am now compiling the hero concept. i would start to compile the item concept once the hero concept was fully compiled.

    what's the total, max heroes that are needed for this work? 30 or 40 heroes only?
    actually given ppl the access are nothing to be unfair off and i could give various reason for it.

    1) There is no such thing as being unfair when it comes into maintenance. When you make me the lead hero concepter, i would be serious (really serious) in maintaining and it would be my responsible to keep the thread maintenance well.

    naturally, some user who lead a specific task like terrainer and scripting should be granted such a permission as well.

    2) The authority granted for the section does no harm at all apart from moving and editing post/thread.

    3) If there is a misused of authority, you could easily remove the permission.
    xarwin, you got to give me permission to allowed me to do a better job in compiling all those hero concept. Of course, i won't interfere with the other section.
    ya.. i know.. i just say that thread you make would be for hero suggestion concept.. while i would make a thread that compile it.
    I would make 1 thread that compile the entire heroes concept. Of course, there is a few thing that need to be set.

    i would compile all those heroes concept into 1 thread by this monday evening, i have my last exam paper at monday morning. so could not do anything at this moment :p
    There is one thing wrong in the "What's Going On" thread.
    I'm not sure when my hero is done, but I hope the Assistance System, the Sound Queue System and your spell is done by tomorrow.

    hey xarwin, you could make me as the hero manager.. my duty is to compile the list of hero concept into 1 thread.

    of course, at the same time was to ensure the hero ability and etc etc does not have any similiarity with the other heroes.
    I will be quite busy for the next 4 days, so your icons might wait abit more again.

    sorry, will try to get them ready for you as soon as possible. Probably tomorow will be able to make 1 or 2.. Hopefully.
    Here, all units are balanced except few mage spells, because heroes are needed.
    Some units may look unbalanced, but they are, trust me :)
    Tell me if you want mire weapons for melee and range soldiers.
    I went with mage being different with spell support, not weapons. But a specially effect can be added (like an orb) to distinguish which spell they poses. Aldo i like the idea of spells being a surprise. Also all spells are auto-cast of course. Forgot to mention that.

    I'm in, though I have limited time to produce skins and artwork for the project.
    I will be gone for vacation Thursday through Monday, I may be able to check up here but I wont be able to work on the map. Since my role is more of streamlining I don't think this will get in the way of progress too much, but I figured I'd let you know
    Looks great... if you'd need me I could be a tester or other minor team member (I help wwith other project too plus have personal life so I doubt I could work out well in harder job).
    Oh, as I see you already got the terrain completely ready, which is good. As I see you're planing to make the one like in most of AoS maps... firstly I hoped it would be more of an a feel that action is taking place in a computer or something like that (Well anyway its a website tribute, right?), but nevermind...
    It would be naive to think that you'd add me as a hero if I would ask, but I won't I'm just curious if you'll add Master Haosis - he was my favourite back then plus there is a model of him and he could turn out to be a great tank/buffer.

    Just noticed you've created a new social group related to project or whatever you're making. As I understand, you're planing to do something most people tryed but never succseded to do - create a THW trubute map. Wish you luck with your project.

    Hey. I have been reading your tutorial about animation transfer, and its awesome.
    But, does model need to have bones (joints in milkshape)(this is probably a stupid question, but meh).

    Also, by your opinion what is harder, making a custom mesh in milkshape or gmax (or any tool that has ability to make faces and vertexes), or transferring animation (if bones are needed).
