demons And trust me, there are A LOT more in the capitol than there are in other cities. Outside of Hellion's city, they can be rare, but ususally 10 per city or village. Likely 30-ish in actual cities where availiable. But in the capitol? Few hundred It IS the main defense for Hellion

the town itself won't be destroyed, but do remember, that Hellion and your archon are in a border-line skirmish. Ever since your archon stole his lands from him, he has been trying to push you out, while he ruled a vast empire. (thus his lack of appearances on the battlefield) But yes, I will keep up the attack, hoping to claim it Likely will if you lack resistance
