    I didn't insult him that low/bad to obtain -4 rep or even need -rep, all I did was call him a idiot and asked why do idiots always post where my threads are which means to me that someone can't realize or stop it. Also I didn't know there was a ignore function.

    thedeathunterxx, I think I never got back to you on this. I believe it'll get more attention on the Cinematics forum. As you can see, so far only I have commented on your thread. Place it on the Map Development forum and it is buried in no time strike. If you insist, however, I will move it back.

    N.O, cut the crap. Nobody insulted you. You insulted him. That's why you received the negative reputation. If he was being annoying, you should have ignored him. vBulletin even has an ignore list feature, if I'm not wrong. It is not that hard.

    ummm 2 things :

    1) thanks for the feedback, i updated the Map so that it has correct map name, and has reduced size, just incase you want to see it without any problem.

    2) just a suggestion, but can you move my thread back into map development ? Way More users visit the map devolopment section then the cinematic section. and i want alot of feedback on my second part to see if im heading in the right track.

    It does work if you do have a reference to the unit(e.g. store the unit's ID to a variable) before the locus is added.

    Fingolfin, out of all the people I have shown the screenshots, only Anachron has been able to give me a decent comment. I did not need to know whether the screenshots were good or bad, I wanted a decent piece of critique and NO ONE was able to give me that. I had all the right to have my thread recycled.
    It's interesting how the «pros» so quickly become the noobs they despise.
    Regarding your comment: Rough Dirt is «above» normal dirt by default; the Grassy Rock is not really supposed to match anything; our computers' resolutions are different, so I have no idea where the second row starts for you; rocks are a problem because their pathing map is too big, and if I make them smaller they'll hardly be noticeable, while on the other hand it won't look good if I allow buildings to be placed over rocks.

    (Post) no offence, but that was uncalled for =/ It was his contest... and its not like if u extended it anyone was gonna submit anyway. So might as well end it now, see who wins. im giving u rep, but i think this was in unfair call.
    Btw, i dont understand why you need the trees to be harvestable in the first place.. why not make it so that you just build lumber mills that periodically increase your lumber?
    Because when all those trees get cut down, your map will look awfully naked.
    That recycling was very unnecessary. You should have given it some more time imo, here's the post i prepared anyway:


    Well, on picture 9 you have rough dirt that is above the barrens stuff, and above that you have village rock!
    Rough dirt should always be on the lowest level, and that green grassy rock tile just doesen't match with the barrens dark grass.
    There is actually only one image where you got it right, the first one on the second row.
    Green wet grass fits perfectly with that dark, fertile dirt, and the village rock blends in nicely.
    Although, the tree placement feels very random in some places, put some rocks near the trees, and add leaves or thick grass beneath them. And try to avoid getting straight lines of tiles, make it more irregular; on many places i see cliffs that go in a perfectly straight line!
    Also, barrens rough dirt does totally not match with felwood rock spires. Honestly.
