  • Oh an yes, we have working save/load and are currently working on new MultiFileIO and sync libs which will make persisting objects easy peasy.
Will post some tutorial/news about this soonish ;)

I see, then there is no problem posting the wurst-code. But I don't think my noob codes deserve to be an open source. I'm aware that I do a lot of things wrong and... I'll think about it. Tbh I just don't want anybody to see that my coding sucks :|

There's no shame in writing bad code when you're just starting out. That's how it is for literally anyone. I used to be crippled by vJass kind of thinking for a long time before being able to write good code in wurst.

Having your code on github means having easy backups, and having people easily comment and help you debug your code if the whole map is concerned. Also, as you get better, you can use github to create your own library alongisde the standard library, to use in your projects, and let other people use it.

One of the prominent ideas in wurst is that every single wurst resource you make is more or less a team effort - we all depend on the standard library (and some of us will also help update it), and on everyone else in the (pretty small at the moment) wurst community to get the best out of it.

That's kinda inspirational. It worked tho. Thanks.

Yeah that's what I like about Wurst. Don't know how to describe it, but I think it is more professional... yeah. Kind of like it will actually help adapt more easily when learning other programming languages because the system ? totally make sense unlike vJass.

I was reading about it too. Looks promising, that github. Plus y'all recommend it. Well, I certainly want to improve, and I want to help the community even just a little, so yeah I think I'll do that.
Can't you move some things around or burn them to a CD to get enough space to install the new patch? And do you even want to use 1.28? Some people stay 1.26 because it allows some hacks.

Nope. Although I'm quite interested in using Memoryhacks, they're too advance for me. Ugh you got me, I am really stuck with this version until my pc's fixed. My only cd key is in there, and I'm too cheap to buy another copy of the game.

I don't know if I want to update anyway. What keeps me away from the patch the most is it's huge filesize. I will eventually if it's really needed. Tbh there's no actual noticeable difference to me. Only to pay 2gb of internet data.

I am sure you can switch some files around or delete to make it work. Still though, it is not necessary to update to 1.28 anyways, if you are not using hacks everything is much the same I think. Only when 1.29 comes yo will need to update since it will have new features.

I can't move anything tho. This is my only harddrive and I value all files in it. Plus I'm broke so...
Thanks for the info. I really needed that, I'm glad I'm not wrong on that part.
Oh I just hope 1.29 won't make me download the whole game too. No space, poor internet, man being broke is hard.
I did not want to disrespect you, I'm srry if it seemed that way.
Hm, ok, so you don't have an answer yet.
    Natu
    Natu
    Ah. Okay.
I'm srry for my behavior too.
Don't worry, I always post my findings just in case people are having, or will have, the same problem.
I'll update it once I find a workaround.
    "Nevermind, I figured it out"
Let's see what you do here.
Not only do you not give the answer, you notify any possibly desperate person searching for the same answer that you have it, driving that person nuts.
Please make a short edit with the correct answer.

And now I'm at fault? What's with the tone (or whatever it is, I don't like how you phrase it)?
Yeah I figured it out. I figured out that no on really knows how to do it and I should just give up.
I solved it by doing just that. That an acceptable answer?
