Sure thing. If you need help with visuals again - just ask me
I'l upload that testmap then, since it's a cool concept and all. Still hope someday you will finish the guy.
I also suggest that you might want to remove the "Beta" tag. That way it will be hosted more often and the legcay of your hard work will live on. The map seems rather stable and definitely is more finished then a bunch of other maps on THW.
Hello, I am completely in love with the HP bar border in your game IID. May I please have that? For the record, I never release public maps (only for my friends and I on hamachi..), I just really love it!!! Thanks
That sounds impressive. I would not say this game is near death. I would say it has entered the "immortal" stage that few games achieve. Similar titles would be Age of Empires II, and Total Annihilation. As far as finding a game bnet is all bots now which has reduced lag greatly, and there's always Garena and W3Arena.
I am not realy the person to count on at the moment, but you are lucky enough (again) to alert me right when i am forced to stay at my apartment. Since i have several spare from social life and studies days, you can ask me about things you need now.
Too bad then. And I hope to see some AoS from u in the future if u change your mind
But a side effect af being a terrainer is that pretty much every one buggs about it
On the other hand I'm a total noob at programming and triggers
If you really care about performance, go and use Diracs Missile Engine.
If you need some features baked in and still be a little concerned about performance, mine is good to go.
You know, my resources aim in functionality since it's more expensive for the user to rebuild his desired features in external parts of the system, it's either a different thread or something even worse.
Actually, I didn't get much time to finish my 2.0 version. I'm in holiday right now but when I come back I plan to finish it.
I wouldn't expect less, it seems like something for the future, good luck!
I also wanted to make games myself and it's still my wish. Wanted to make one in my country with some friends 2 or 3 yaers ago but we couldn't find a full team so we gave up. I still have some things planned and I'm working in collaboration\s. I'm just getting to know some good skilled people from the hive and we might start something together. I'm currently practicing modeling and skinning a lot while light and shadow study is at my focus point. Although I have a feeling Ill end up doing something completely different but still of a artistic nature I'm not really disappointed I'm just riding the moment no matter what!
As for me, this year was the most worst of all years of my life, a lot of bad things happen to me and I don't even want to get started on that. Hopefully things are going to change for the better starting this year and it seems to be going in to that direction.
Yeah, I had some fun. A friend came over with drinks, it was just him me and my sis, he autoinvited himself and I wasn't planning any party but it turned into one, lol. My sis is the only family I have left aside from my mom who is away from the country shortly my sister is going to leave also and I'm going to be all alone, I might leave after some time also. In general I am feeling relaxed and more composed than ever like the calmness that comes after a storm, I pretty much feel like I can do anything and I intend to...
oHO! Luorax, I'm so happy to hear from you, thanks. I almost forgot Happy new Year! A late one.
Didn't really get much in terraining so I thought I'd do something at a different level. The discovery of shadow maps has extended wc3' life for me and it also gave me more passion to work at terrains.
I have checked the code, it's kinda okay for me. I dislike interfaces, it's kinda static, not smart use of modules, static way of instance creation, not really much configureable, and hardly extendable by external libraries.
If you take a look at my new Missile2 approach you will find out it's quite handy:
Just implement everything you need, the missile engine will handle the rest. No matter which target you have, the movement engine picks it up through a shared API at all target modules.
I am using Nes' Recycler already, but I don't like Bribes, Diracs, Arhowk or the other libraries out there. Mainly because it's sooo hard to combine the features. One has collision for units, but not for destructables. One has missile collision, but it's not extendable. One is really fast, but has none of those features. Can you link me to Kennys projectile system?
