Only animation in editor that I know can be done is death. Its hard but most of mine animations are triggered and with freeze so I would capture animation easier.
Uh I didn't use it myself but you are supposed to make doodad with unit model then in object editor find "show death animation" or something. As I said I do all my animation with triggers so I didn't really try it.
For death is easiest just set:'unit group(single action);-all players owned by neutral passive 'do' death animation for 'picked unit'...result is that all neutral passive units are doing death animation so just place them were you need them.
