Player8Krakken3KrakkenInGame

officially a selectable/playable character for players of future patches. ideas? thoughts?

@kellym0 imbalanced if not against Deathwing :D
Could be a boss where you have to dodge the tentacles and destroy them one by one or something.
I'm curious how it could attack with each tentacle separately.

imbalanced against mur'locs is good -- the forces of evil all have a passive alliance -- beasts players want to kill all mur'locs owned by players -- murloc players wana run away -- imbalanced is good lol.

I could use them as some npc bosses that patrol the maps edges, that was the original original plan, if only aesthetically.

each tentacle does not attack seperately im afraid thats beyond my skills. What I did do, was make one attack, based off the zergling claws, with some extended range, and that combined with the animation of the mouth opening and sticking a tongue out looks pretty good as a singular high dps attack. the other tentacles are based off the spawn locusts ability from swarm hosts -- instead of summoning 2 locusts on the left and right hand side -- it has a random chance to make a tentacle in one of 8 spots around its self -- these 8 spots are a decent distance away from the krakken -- this ability is passive with no buttons, so one final ability, which will allow you to plant tentacles like units with a spell, will have charges that come back over time, combined with timed life, this and some unbroken ones summoned units will give these naval units some influence over land.

@kellym0 hmm, so the tentacles are locusts or have the locust ability? The latter works better in that the tentacles will not always attack at the same time and if the kraken dies, you can trigger their death as well.

ahh you would have that issue in wc3 sure, but brood lord escorts have a ''kill self upon caster owner death'' property similar to the ''share kills with caster'' property, so in this case theyd never live past 0.25 seconds after the krakken dies.

they are infact, broodlord escorts with alot of changes, more similar to the protoss interceptor, in that they can be killed, and can be clicked, and have a description/tool tip/highlight name so they can now also attack whoever or whatever is closest to them.
