the children grow up over time to adolescent trolls. the advantage of being reborn rather than resurrected is that you will lose your levels and skills when resurrecting. but you will keep your skills and get the level of the child (can teach exp with a corresponding ability) when you are reborn.

Hmmm... I'm not sure... people tend to kill each other constantly in LOAP-like games... won't it happen that one player will zombiefy everyone or something like that? And what can spirit world opption do? if its kinda like endgame, everyone will choose restless spirit just to continue the game...

im not sure what to do about the spirit world option. it should be like going to heaven, and i accept that most will choose restless spirit.
do you have any ideas for this? btw im using tge_witchers camera and movement system

and i have a defeat/duel/beat system to reduce the kill count. instead of killing a player for good (i want to make it so that dying is really bad, not like in loap or fantasy life), the player is then replaced with a unit that crawls around being beatun up for a short time and then returns to normal. when a player is beaten/defeated then he drops all his (carried) gold as one item (and maybe some inventory items too), thereby removing the need to kill the player just to get his loot/gold.
also this gives a possibility to cripple the annoying player instead of killing him.

(idea by Riptokus, execution by me)

Great... but spirit world as complete death and endgame is bad idea... since Trolls believe in voodoo and spirits of their ancestors then, firstly, you can be summoned as strong fighting unit for a while by other player or item... well, your allies can summon you using a "totem of ancestors" as a powerful monster for a while, but your level depends from their level, they need all their mana to summon you and you can only fight and use abilities plus walk of course, but can't use items... oh, also only players who are your ally/ have a special unit or ability can talk to you... oh, and when not summon, you can just sometimes freely fly around and cast minor blessings using your mana. To recieve the mana, you have to recieve the sacriface from alive players...

lol i thought of just making a spectator option (you are in heavan, but can continue the game anyawy). so you can either watch other players directly or take control of a flying bird, so you can see what is going on but not interfere (well its not like the bird is going to have a "crap" ability or anything, so just fly around)

that idea of yours is interesting, but i was thinking of making death a really bad thing, so you always have to try to survive.
it could be useful for the spirit-trapped-in-shrunken-head thing, but the objective of that isnt to get help, but to stop enemy spirits from haunting you.

Well, I say that after death you can become or evil restless spirit, or good spirit from spirit world that can recieve sacrifaces from living players and bless them for that... you know, that would be acording to lore...

no i meant it like: you can either go to spirit world and rest and never see this world again.
or you can get no rest (restless) and stay in this world and affect it a bit.
whether you choose to aid or obstruct other players is up to you. whether you want revenge or you want to help them
you can cast a low-effect cripple (which makes difference in the long run) either on a player or the creep that player is fighting.

and im thinking of adding some sort of exorcism ability too. so that when some players group together, they can kill the restless spirits nearby in magical ritual.

Well I don't agree about the not seeing the world part... Trolls religion is based on their anchestors, they believe that the spirits of dead relatives or other trolls help them, so its quite logical, plus this is much better than that abandoning the game thing...

maybe i should just take away the choosing part. so that after you die for good, you stay in this world and can help or obstruct the players you lived with?
